Imagine a alien was in the woods. The deer have never smelled a alien so they would not associate that smell with danger. But once the alien spooks them, from then on those deer will avoid the alien scent. Nose Jammer is the same way. It hides your scent with another the deer are not familiar with. Once enough ppl spook them while wearing it, they will no longer be fooled by it. They will associate that smell with danger.
@triplezoutdoors8272Ай бұрын
Love that analogy! Thanks for the comment!
@dude8223Ай бұрын
@triplezoutdoors8272 you, Nose Jammer is vanilla extract. My dad used to put vanilla extract on his boots. He was a trophy hunter, killed monsters. You can litteraly buy vanilla extract at Walmart dirt cheap and have the same outcome.
@Hammerback02 ай бұрын
Am I the only one that thinks nose jammer smells just like WD-40? I swear someone should try WD instead and see what the deer do. 😂
@triplezoutdoors8272Ай бұрын
😂 I’ve never thought WD-40 but a lot of vanilla scent. Thanks for the comment!
@dude8223Ай бұрын
It's vanilla. You can buy vanilla extract at grocery store and achieve the same thing. We did that for yrs. Old hunting secret. They just Comercialised the idea.

I agree with that. I’ve had 20-25 deer within bow range this year that have gotten down wind of me. They have noticed something was off every time. But I will say with nose jammer not one of those deer blew. They just turn and walked off the other direction.

Dang I’ve had very mixed opinions from people who have used it. I honestly believe that it works better on younger deer but when mature deer smell it they know that scent isn’t usually in that spot and they are gone. Thanks for the comment!

Once deer smell nose jammer and sees you then they associate that smell with danger. But until they get spooked and smell it , the product should work.

I have never heard of this. How exactly do you use waxed sand for trapping? Also, play sand tends to have gold in it. So, if you want to do a little extra work, especially if you buy a lot of it, then you should pan it and get the gold out, then dry it out.
@triplezoutdoors8272 Жыл бұрын
The waxed sand doesn’t freeze since it doesn’t take on any moisture. So your traps won’t freeze in the ground.
