Terrific performance, strong musicianship on display here. Recently I've been studying Ferneyhough's music and his methods, it sounds to me like you've got to the core of it. Very impressive.

Me neither!, and im a guitar player!, well...maybe there are things that only few people could understand. Isn't melodic thats the problem, i listen a bounch of compositions from Barrios and Tarregas (and many others), seems to me more complicated for example "Mazzurca Apasionatta" from Barrios or many Bach transcriptions.

Genuinously curious, I don't mean to be rude. What do you feel when you play this piece? Do you enjoy it? I mean, I play some songs more times than others because of what they feel like in my fingers, or how they sound or because how good of an exercise it is to play it. Do this piece fit in any of these categories for you?
@bertrandchavarria-aldrete80218 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. I never confuse curiosity with rudeness; I'm glad that you ask in fact. Well, complex music (I mean by "complex" any music from any style or period that could be uneasy to perform) offers all those qualities that you mention, once you master the music; the feeling on the fingers, the sound you produce, and of course, if you have techical problems, could serve also as an exercise. So, this piece is always alive and tempting you to achieve those qualities. I enjoy so much this piece, that I learned it by memory, so I can play it anytime and anywhere without a score.

This is so bad. I thought it was a joke but have listened to a bout 3 people play this now. It looks like an astonishingly difficult way to make yourself sound like you cant play guitar.

Well, it's an interesting view what you have, I kinda like it to be honest! really glad that you heard also other versions and made your own conclusions about the piece! :-)
