Actually.. Only Zachary Stevens recorded on Handful of Rain.. The rest of the band members weren't recruited until Dead Winter Dead.. The Bass player Johnny Lee Middleton plays with the west coast touring group. Jeff Plate is credited because he was a touring member for Handful of Rain but it was another drummer who recorded the drums on Handful of Rain.. Al Pitrelli, Chris Caffery and Jeff Plate all officially joined Savatage on Dead Winter Dead.. Chris Caffery had always been a touring member but never recorded anything with the group till Dead Winter Dead.
