80 USD, less planes with each volume, AI is still rubbish. It would all be a lot more palatable if they would stop charging stupid money, or maybe offered some loyalty discount. I quite like a lot of things about GB but other aspects leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
@Raben37213 күн бұрын
For $80 a volume the customers should expect better. Not really a case with Flying Circus where "you get what you pay for" applies. If these sort of problems effected WW2 modules they'd be fixed fairly quickly. Somehow the developers seem to justify even acknowledging or refusing to fix Flying Circus. The usual reason is that they don't have the time or money. Of course they have our money.

Been feeling a lot of noise since IV release but I was not aware of the specifics, just knew this release was stirring things a bit. Time to read through discords messages on this release... Lol, "lying circus". What do you think of il 2 CoD Blitz? different team than 1css, and they are working on a new dlc that will incluse the b17 flying fortress, funny since 1css keep saying the current engine cannot process lots of multiengine planes yet CoD seems to be on am older engine. I just got into this hobby, on january it will be my first year, and im feeling a bit dissatisfied with these developers of Flying Circus and BoX. There doesnt seem to be more alternatives that are active, let alone inside the Ww1 theme
@Raben37213 күн бұрын
The only realistic alternatives for WW1 are Wings Over Flanders Fields and Rise of Flight. Rise of Flight with mods is what I'm using almost exclusively as it's really good and feels right. Wings Over Flanders Fields is good too but is based on MS Combat FS3 engine. In my opinion planes don't handle in a very natural manner. BoX and Flying Circus seem to aimed mainly at the multi players, so any thing like realistic career mode and AI is very low priority. Flying Circus has always been for the developers a side project and has the very lowest priority. BoX and CoD Blitz both use engines developed from Rise of Flight. RoF has a 4 engine bomber Sikorsky S-22 and now CoD B17-E. The BoX developers often say they can't do things when what they really mean is they won't because they won't make enough roubles. I don't have CoD Blitz but I've seen quite a few videos and it looks great.

I had hoped that Volume 4 of Flying Circus would have fixes for some of these problems, but still the same. Given these flaws and non historic characteristics I've uninstalled Flying Circus and just using Rise of Flight. FC hogs 100 Gb of disc space, Rise of Flight with a lot of custom aircraft skins only 20 Gb. Many of these problems aren't even acknowledged or the developers say there's no need to fix.

This will be the last video of Flying Circus at least until the release of Volume 4. If most of the many flaws aren't fixed then I will only be flying Rise of Flight. I wouldn't recommend Flying Circus as at $80 each for four volumes it's very expensive for such a flawed programme. The D.VIII featured the same steel tube fuselage construction used on other Fokker designs and made use of a parasol style wing. The wing was a unique arrangement among WWI era fighters and pilots were mistrustful of the new wing configuration. Their fears were borne out as initial introductions into Jasta 6 and 19 in the spring of 1918 were halted after two aircraft crashed with wing failures. An inquiry into the wing separations was initiated and it was discovered that improper quality of construction and materials was to blame though some blamed Fokker for changing the design. Whatever the case, the problems were resolved and the type was renamed D.VIII. Upgraded wings were put into production and the fighter began to roll off the production line. This delay took time and the type was reintroduced on the frontlines in the October 1918 - just weeks before the war would end.
@Raben372120 күн бұрын
Only 85 got into service. Compared to the Fokker DVII it weighed 605kg, DVII 906kg. Even with a relatively low power engine it was as fast as DVII, turned and climbed better. It could perform better than opposition planes in most respects. Another interesting Fokker was the DVI, basically a modified Dr1 fuselage with rotary engine and using scale down DVII wings. Top speed was 197kmh. Only 59 got into service as it was decided the DVII was better. The German rotary engine planes suffered from a lack of castor oil lubricant. The ersatz castor oil didn't perform as well as the real thing.

Hey there, could you give me some tips to improve my dogfighting skills? I totally suck, I practice a lot by going over quick sorties and I can end up killing a plane, but that is after dumping almost all my ammo on a plane, I think I probably just leave the enemy planes like Swiss cheese rather than just concentrating the fire into a single place like the engine/pilot, but well... If you got any tips I would love to hear then, thanks in advance
@Barkhorn11Ай бұрын
So....get close - no more than 20 meters - ideally 15 or less. Aim for the engine - or the pilot. Metal or Meat. Fire short/controlled bursts - no more than 2/3 seconds. Use a bit of rudder to line up your nose (rudder pedals are helpful).
@Raben3721Ай бұрын
Ideally against fighters fire from close range. This requires close attention to speed and throttle as you don't want over run the target especially in a dive. If you're shooting at an angle you should be firing where you think the target will be when the bullets arrive. Against 2 seaters you have to fire at longer range and close at full speed. Try to hit the gunner first. If possible attack 2 seaters from below. Practice is the key.
