I have yet to pick up a Girsan but I did see a 1911DS I thought about picking up. 10mm & .45 acp are sluggers. I have a couple of .45 and no 10mm, mostly to keep my ammo expenses down.

The platy has the bull barrel...and a trigger that pulls at about 1.5lbs.

It's a little inconsistent at times what they consider to be against community guidelines....hard to keep coloring between the lines when that happens! lol

Actually it does. I bought this gun from my local gun club with my own funds on a whim when I saw it for sale….mostly because it came with so much. lol besides, I wouldn’t call what I do “being an influencer” I just do reviews from my foxhole. Hope you’re subscribed though, more to come!

Almost there! I have another challenge coming up with the Prodigy, that should get me there!

In the end, you really can't go wrong with either. I love both of them and on any given day will shoot one better than the other. The platy is amazingly customizable, but that Bul Armory EDC looks amazing...in fact...hope you stay subscribed....you'll want to see what's next!

I don't use the Safariland rig but my Tisas DS 1911 fits my QVO holster for my Platypus so I am assuming they are the same dimensions

@@RANDY_MAR5H Both are hard to get and you can't go wrong with either. If you are into customization and lower cost....the platy is the way to go. If that doesn't matter both guns are really amazing. Bul Armory are stout and reliable guns

@@RazorMP_Official do you have any concerns with the cerakote of the platypus holding up over the years against the buls pvd.

@@RANDY_MAR5H PVD normally outlasts cerekote, though it depends on how much you plan to use the pistol, think competition/duty pistol versus EDC. If you use the pistol for the latter, cerekote will last you until the next latest & greatest gun comes along. If you plan to use it for duty or competition, the PVD might be a better options.

Funny you ask...I was wondering the same thing and reached out to SA. I have not heard back yet but I do not believe it is DLC. The spec sheet simply says it's a "forged stainless steel, match grade bull' barrel. The black appearance made me question if they coated the barrel in some capacity. So many people is an exaggeration indeed….Mine runs fine out the box , 1000 rounds put through no problems at all

@@DreX-8810 I think he is worried about the gen 1 version of the Prodigy. Lots of documented problems, but to your point this latest gen has not shown any of the original problems. My guess is that they’ve fixed it. I know mine runs like a top with zero issues but out of abundance of caution I won’t tout it until I’ve run it at least to the thousand rounds.

@@jamesdelong6401 that’s a tough one. The DH3 feels good in the hand with that Silicon Carbide grip but the trigger on the Walther is so much better.

@RazorMP_Official Yes, sir. I've heard the same thing from others. It's going to be a tough choice. On the grip for the Walther, I've been looking at Lok grips. I've noticed that 🤏🏻 of that glock Hump on the palm swell of the Walther. I'm thinking of getting Lok grips ( thin ) style Velocha grips. If I spelled that correctly.

I have not gotten my hands on a new 4.25, I think I mentioned the one I was using was a gen1 BA in the video. I did however pick up a new Tac Pro 5 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXzQhWOrl62Jadk) and do think their newest line is amazing. When I get my hands on a 4.25, I'll revisit and see how they fare. Again it's just my point of view from my foxhole. Have you shot the platypus yet? If so, what did you think?

Not yet, saving up my pennies for my next purchase. Unfortunately, no place for me to even get a feel for a Tac or a Platypus, much less put a few rounds though them. If I ever do get a hold of one. I'll use the memory of a few rounds through a Staccato P be my judge. I live in NYS so everything a bit harder. Reviews and reputation are sometimes the only thing I have to go on. @@elliotm5599 Yeah...NY is not the most gun friendly state. My sympathies for you there. You can't go wrong with either gun though. You can really customize the Platy (check out their website) the builder they have is the best I have ever seen. Even decked out it will likely cost you less than the new Bul Armory models. The Bul's though require you to put your email on their list and as soon as they contact you...jump on it and buy it. They sell out quick and they are a direct to consumer group.
