Listened this morning. Had not played this record in far too many years. Caused temporary, minor side effects. But: Astonishing performances by all!!!! Mr Reed: Mr Cale: and all: thanks

This song and performance had started it all for me, when I began composing and performing music for public, in front of people. Some 34 years ago, around 1990. The lyrics and the atmosphere of this whole "Style It Takes" thing make me fascinated still. I remember myself singing this song in front of my friend back then. Just to make the point in which kind of music I am interested. I was shy to death. Then we started to experiment with various chords, words. We did not make it ever up to this level of perfection, but the process itself was definitely worth it. As they say - your journey can become more important than the final destination itself. Thank you, gentlemen, for this performance, you have inspired me for the rest of my life.

This song has that easy good time feeling detailing Andy’s felt personal deficiencies and his ruminations at the attempt by Valerie Solanas to kill him and the savage payoff line by Lou that “all his life, they’ve been nobodies like you”. This album is Lou and John at the height of their powers

May Kevin Wilkinson rest in peace, excellent drummer. The drums played so cleanly and harmoniously. It gave China Crisis the perfect percussion. A hug dear friend, wherever you are

This is off a fabulous album and this song has magnificent sweep and a lovely take on Warhols attitude to art. The interplay between John and Lou is so special. A really starkly arranged album,

Man. Forever. forever. forever......
