Stopping people from playing the exotic mission because they haven’t completed Act 1 & 2, would create more backlash than what they currently have. These people are still able to play the mission, just no reward. But your fix is to deny them the mission as well as the reward? Yeah that’ll go down way better…

In my opinion games like these loose players bc they force you to spend more money on DLC's to actually enjoy and get good loot.

for anyone who dont have 1k exotic, black talon and heartshadow is great exotic for GM content with void hunter build i did farm GM using void hunter build but sometimes lfg keep kicking me for not having 1k what an shame

Strike specific loot would bring people back I miss wearing my enemies. If the loot could justify replaying the mission it wouldn’t be so bad to grind playlists again tbh.

Been playing since D1 beta. I've done all the raids, got most exotics, played 1000's of hours. Stopped playing after Lightfall because it got boring. Was finally thinking about coming back but was reading that Bungie is still up to their old tricks. Never seen a company laying off workers and on the verge of shuttering it doors yet still focusing on weapon nerfs. They should be embracing players by making them feel powerful and letting them have fun, instead of patching out every fun exploit and changing weapons. That just pushed me back away again. Fuck 'em. I don't miss that at all.

I have hung in through thick and thin with this game that I love but Bungie really went out on a limb when they made fringe sexual attractions the center focus.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make it more about Marathon and excusing why they are allocating more resources to Marathon... and making some more fake promises to keep D2 going and "we haven't forgotten about you" "we just need to refocus on what Destiny as a franchise means" BS lmaooo RIP Bungie, can't drop Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Layoffs) on your studio and expect to live through that.... Literally anything Bungie drops at this point can't fix their issues, our best bet is for Riot to make a better D2 than Bungie.

In my opnion the game died after The Final Shape and should have ended there for whatever is next (maybe D3 or Destiny universe). I feel like they are just stringing us along. The current story content sucks Light Fall story bad, but at least the LF content was good. These episodes are not it.

For anyone who jumps to defend nerfs like this on the basis of "good, it was power creep" just remember that this hole of "power creep" we're in only exists because this game is now 7 years old. So yeah, when the game goes for that long, it's gonna be hard to introduce things that are both new/fun AND balanced. If we want a "balanced" game (wtf that means depends on who you ask btw) then we need a new game. Only problem with that is a bunch of people will complain about losing their gear.

Lot of good suggestions to save the game in the comments. Over a decent amount of time many have complained about the New Light experience. I was ignorant of their plight until I took on a new player as a team mate. I am constantly frustrated to reteach basic things about the game in order for him to just simply play. And it hinders is from actually playing together.

I'm good. It was fun while it lasted. Only thing I'll come back for is Destiny 3. New game. Blank slate. Aside from that, I'm not getting back into this hamster wheel.

The biggest issue that franchise sees is the on boarding for new or returning players who have not played the game in a couple of years. I’ve on board over 10 friends on Destiny recently in the past couple months and they all say the same thing they don’t want to go through 1 million quest lines to catch up in the current content. I believe this is always overlooked and it leads to retention if you catch the new players and have something to look forward to the game with you have the retention of players

Is Bungie going to stop abusing the player? Allow us to break cross-save with just the password of the account we want removed? Restore accounts of victims of hacking? If not, I can't wait for Bungie to go under.
