90215 definately had an amzing horn at the time but unfortunately is not running anymore due to the battery fire.90225 sounds just as good as 90215.

I noticed that 777 and 572 were going a little bit slower while 581 was barely crawling through the crossing.Speed restriction probbaly?

Nice catches. I'm assuming you know about what the deal is with Coaster using 2 or 3 coaches on the trains for the time of year - to prepare for the Christmas train. Some of their coaches are currently being transferred to the Utah Transit Authority in Salt Lake City.

That three car consist was pretty cool on 677/690.Also,I find it kinda strange that they have the holiday express right after the southbound coaster since it could interfer with 774 if 774 happened to run late that day and depart around 2:40pm.I wonder why they switched the time on the holiday train because it used to depart at 2:30pm last year.

Thank you very much! It sure was an amazing moment to see AMTK 160 visit the Pacific Surfline 8 years later. Plus it not only made an appearance this time because it was protect power out of Los Angels Union Station, it led a reverse consist also.

@@blose774 Amtrak 769 for sure gets crowded a lot based on my experiences on that train. While when I went to Los Angeles back on September 21,2024 it wasn’t so bad like September 09,2024.

@ not entirely sure while I saw videos of them testing a little while back with NCTC 421 leading that test train that night. I’ve heard plenty of things about them speculating autumn or winter way back but I won’t guarantee that it will happen at this point. I would just wait and see to be honest.

6905 was definately ripping down the track at 90mph+ and it sounds amazing on 777.777 was probbaly the fastest out of all of these amtraks with 573 in 2nd place and 769 in 3rd place.

@@blose774 they went about the same speed. The comets were probably more intense with the winds from the train on Amtrak 573 I personally think.

@@djmasterty2309 Yeah it can be hard to tell which northbound train is the fastest since they were all going about the same speed wheras the sb trains you could tell since they were going less than 90mph like probbaly 80mph for 562 and 770, 60mph for 572 and 65-70mph for 564.

@@blose774 they don’t really have the overblowing Charger horns on the Coaster. They have more proportional quills on them I believe. The 5001-5005 don’t really have the overblowing horns.

@ or probably a lot of passengers boarding the train. That one tends to get packed really quickly. It also could be anything that caused it.

@@djmasterty2309 Yeah sometimes their at stations for like 5 minutes while coaster trains are usually in the stations for 1-2 minutes.Coaster doesn't usually wait for people while amtrak does.

@ Amtrak has a booking process before you can get your train ticket. Coaster is just a ticket vending machine just for the day usually.
