Wow, beautiful lady doing beautiful work! I love your cart, with the ceramic plate and the brass I'm guessing on the handles it really makes it pop. Great work and keep doing you. Stay safe and Happy Building 💯😁

Great idea with stone or ceramic, that drink cart add was on point. The outake with no "zippin' around after missing school was also legit. :)

Great video - the big question is how long does this solution last? You commented that you did it to sell the house, but I hope it lasts a good long while.

Great video but as a woman with long hair I can never understand how anyone with long hair feels comfortable doing diy with their hair down. I just don’t have that skill 😂.

Hi Erin. Do I have to use “primer” or can I just use an extra coat of paint?

Welcome back! I'm glad I didn't unsubscribe. Really like your table design, a nice modern look. I'm a woodworker. I use whatever joinery type I want that fits the project. Pocket screws are just fine and get the job done when used. Don't hesitate to use them if they work for what you're building.

LOL!!! How ironic,just this weekend I was looking over all my YT subscriptions and wondering whatever happened to you. Missed all your hysterical outtakes. So funny you released a video and kept the outtakes as well. Hope you get to make more videos and keep up the great work.

I didn’t bother cause they’re not that noticeable once everything is assembled and they don’t bother me, but you definitely can if you’d prefer!

May have missed something but you sanded in between costs then later said in answer to questions di you sand in between coats the answer is No? Which is it?

I said I didn’t sand after the last coat. Yes I sand between coats.

Than you for getting down to business and sticking to the subject. I was given a broken particleboard dresser that I pained but added a wood grain appearance by streaking the paint with thicker and thinner brush strokes. Very satisfied with the results and most visitors think it’s wood.

I'm repainting my oil based painted desk. The old paint is still in perfect condition but now I want to change the color. Will I still need to prep it or can I just clean it and paint water based over the desk?

If say I'm going to use a satin poly, would it matter what sheen paint I use? Also, do you need to sand the last coat of paint before applying poly? thx
@ErinSpainDIY8 ай бұрын
Don't sand last coat of paint. Technically you can put satin poly over any sheen of paint, I would just avoid matte finish because it's easy to get smudges and fingerprints and it's hard to clean so you don't want to have a messy finish you're adding the satin poly on top of. It's just easier to deal with satin or semi-gloss paint for furniture.

Finally, the video I’ve been looking for! I had an idea of what to do, but I needed to see it! And all these other videos, they didn’t send in between and I wanted to see a video where someone sands in between so thank you!!! How long does it typically take for the paint to dry so you can send it for your next coat ?

Hi Erin. Which grit sanding block did you use for this video?
