I hate to be the bad guy the trash talker but all of you guys do the same thing and I know you're trying to help us but you're kind of wasting our time a little bit in a way because there's no walk through and I know my way around a lot of motors and I can fix pretty much anything but there's a lot of people who have no idea what they're looking at and you're not narrating anything or specifying anything especially location and application. And do I hear music playing over your voice? Come on guys I've watched two videos and I have to keep looking now. I just want to make sure I'm getting the right valve for the specific motor I have and I can start here or there or anywhere but if you're doing a video on something like a how to DIY then you should probably include all of the information someone would need to know that they are watching a tutorial for the same vehicle and motor that they have. Like I said I hate to be that bad guy and maybe I'm pointing out the obvious but it's possible you don't see it from this perspective so I'm trying to help you help others and myself for that matter. This is an easy simple part and replacement and no one should have to go to more than one video for this. Again I'm not just speaking for myself I mainly speaking for other people because I can go buy this part and figure out where it is on my own but I thought I'd do a little bit of homework before I get home and start looking at things but I feel like nothing has been accomplished between two entire videos. Anyway sorry for the b**** session

This is Totally WRONG! This is NOT how to grease wheel bearings! Don't follow this example unless you want bearing failure. Why is only the outter bearing getting grease? Don't be lazy like this joker. The wheel must be removed. You can't get proper preload tension on the bearings this way with the weight of the vehicle on the wheel hub and bearings. Remove the wheel set the preload with a torque wrench or you can get it close to right without one. Spin the hub, feel for the right play in the bearings. This video is just B.S. laziness.

Even if parts of the lens don’t need refinishing I’d recommend going over those areas anyway. That way you have a uniform finish on the entire lens. Turtle Wax isn’t the best product to use but the result was impressive. Meguiar’s or other products tend to give a better result, but yours turned out well. Same truck as mine, but I had to replace my grille and do some work on the front end due to a deer strike.

@@ronvalley1973 No, it's mounted on the outside. Easy to get to. Follow the hose. Some of them have coolant lines attached to heat the valve up. A big PCV hose and two small coolant hoses. Not all, but some do. 2003, and some other years.

@@1976Datsun hey and thanks for getting back and i have the new pcv valve and did see a haynes manual video showing how it is by the throttle body on the outside like you said. am hoping in didn't damage the engine already having now 163k miles and i got the truck brand new in 03 and never changed the pcv valve but the truck looks and runs showroom, minus only a new ding on the tailgate and i backed into a passing car which now put a gash in the pristine chrome bumper which i am now gonna have to replace but i'm 67 and saw a video on how to pound out the dent in the bumper which is not that bad considering what it did to his chevy pickup on his entire passenger side. oops.

@1976Datsun Жыл бұрын
@@ronvalley1973 I replaced mine (2003 4.2 F150) and expected to spill a bit of coolant using the "fast hands" method but since the engine was cold the coolant reservoir sucked it back in when I took the hoses off. No leaks. It was easy. Hardest part was finding the right Torx bit. I don't think that much damage will occur if you have a bad PCV valve. I don't think that mine actually needed replacing, at 110,000. It didn't look bad. Good luck.

@bobbyd66803 жыл бұрын
Don't paint the caliper and bracket. Interferes with heat dissipation. If you didn't at least use heat resistant paint, I except it burned off at some point. Those brakes get mighty hot. Careful with all that grease, noticed you didn't put high temp brake grease on the slide pins, the only place you should've put it IMO.
@jw84064 жыл бұрын
Before loosing any differential cover bolts, you should ensure that the Differential oil fill plug can be removed! It'd be a shame to find out that the fill plug can't be removed after having drained out the diff. oil.
