He did a short Red/brown belt kata but wasn't that great. Watching katas they judge and score by head movement to see if you stay level kinda floating like, then form, balance, sometimes difficulty but not always. I've seen mid ranked belts win over black belts.

@gregoryb2999 judge urself first coz ur gonna be the one screwing up the moves, and ur instructors will correct u for it.

Yeah. I respect that he's still capable at that age. Most are not at half his age. But, the style is really just one of martial dance choreography. It's a lot of show. Still, good for him still being that in shape.

@ggproductions8434 and I was at SJCC getting mine. I didn't remember much... but the conditioning part... as the only smol one put in a group of adults, the moment we did bear crawls, I was the smol one moving slow. As I get placed last, which didn't really matter... the adults cheered and applauded for me, as one SBN motivated me to not give up.

A kicking system only 2 snap kicks and jumping 360 stance transfers. Father time has no prejudice. At least he seems healthy and in shape for being 70.

@@240fxst he's turning 80 in 3 years. I might attend his 80th birthday party. It's in 2027, but I'm not sure if I have time.
