It has to be hardwired one time into a junction box, just like a wall outlet you plug your smartphone into! Once it’s installed, you plug in lights over and over again.

The ceiling already had a junction box, which we installed our SkyOutlet in to! You can install our SkyOutlet anywhere you have a j-box in your home.

5:10 will push people away. Why isn't Skyplug compatible? Does that mean it is not able to dim the light to 10% or 50%. Does that mean it cannot control the fan speed as well?

It is not compatible with a dimmer switch only because the technology in our device allows you to completely control the light (dimming/scheduling/etc) via the SkyHome app.

I had an idea for something like this as a kid. It's pretty cool to see someone bring it to life. It's make switching out light fixtures so much easier. That being said, this particular implementation at first glance appears to be relatively sophisticated, meaning probably relatively expensive and less likely to become a universal standard. (Maybe I'm wrong about that.) Still really cool though!

Same. It seems like it should be any fixture since it looks like it's essentially an electrical quick connect. Also, this company could probably be huge if they had even a little bit of customer service. I see your question hasn't been answered after a year

You aren’t risking your life if you SHUT OFF the power first! Also there’s this $2 gadget called an electrical tester if you want to be sure. Also, the answer is it takes one person to install a light fixture in most cases. SMH

We, shortly, are moving into a cottage in a CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) that has a number of ceiling fans/lights. I'd recommend CCRC's as a wonderful market given the 55+ population and the continuous renovation of "outlived" cottages. I'm assuming these could eliminate the "ability" to lose remote control units! Great idea depending on the cost.

I would like to offer my services , I have a strong background in sales and I believe you would thrive with a better spokesperson . I really like your product , I think it has great potential , especially if introduced to the 3D printed home market . Which is the perfect market for a product like yours . A 3D printed home with your adapter technology is THE definition of a “Smart Home”. I have watched your videos and presentations and I believe you should have some spokespeople with a few less “ums” and a bit more pazazz . The “Smart Home” idea is ideally marketed towards the younger generations , as older generations tend to have more trouble with emerging technologies , and I believe I would be the perfect spokesman for your company .
