Don't eat breakfast, but eat a large healthy double meal the night before, best way for an active athlete to push deep into the next day with max energy...

@ylthipodcast with the enhanced coffee too...game changer for the fasting energy for active athletes....gotta remember as active athletes, we need to do things differently and only take and give advice by and for active athletes, our requirements are different...it took me a while to realize that I just need to do things different than sedentary general pop folks...but also the single best thing I ever did for my nutrition was not eat breakfast, crazy

My dad was one of those early boards he got his first board in 1979 and still to this day rides. He got me into riding in the 90s back when the mountains used to be split, boards were not allowed to go on certain lifts and runs, if you did you would get your pass taken. Great movie for snow board culture of the 90s is Johnny Tsunami the Disney movie. They surprisingly got the vibe of riding in the 90s down perfect.

I’m with you on the pow boards being too stiff. I don’t dig it and prefer a 6-7 flex and a snow surf camber (hate flat camber). And bro….grab a guide to show you around Annupuri. You’re welcome!

Medium to medium stiff (also larger surface area, and the camber profile matter too), not soft, (6 to 9 out of 10) for most pow board, this is because you dont have a solid surface undernearh you to push into, so when you go to push or pump or flex a stiffer board, it will react quicker and more stable to the soft snow undernearth you by pushing into the snow, slightly packing it to more solid material, and then flexing into the board,...stiffer board is reacting to your every single input slightly faster than a softer board...and the conditions are very uneven, inherently, underneath you so a stiffer boards help you not get bucked around...pow boards need stability, because what you are riding on is not stable, a stiffer board will react to your inputs much quicker on a surface that is slow to react to input (imagine jumping from two feet on a packed groomer vs 2 feet of pow, you can push and jumo quickly and powerfully on a solid surface, so a stiffer board helps makes the pow underneath you more solid to push and pump into...imagine you push your tail into the snow and instead of the biard flexing right away, a stiffer board will push in and punch into the powder and pack it intil its solid enough for you to feel and then the board will flex into this semi packed surface you creat3d with the action of your board, (im over complicated that process which takes a second in real time but this is what is actually happening underneath your snowboard when you make a hard turn or ollie into pow)... instead of a soft board will be weaker to flex into the snow, and will not get packed as solid, as quickly, underneath, giving you a mushy and slower feedback into the pow softer surface beneath you...(very hard to explain)- ....if you are in a perfect low angle untracked pow field then a softer board might be great for slower speed soul long big carves or floaty slashes, but other than that, medium to medoum stiff and volume, a bigger board yhan your all mtn/freestyle size, is ideal for pow boards, also on a pow day you will be riding in steeper parts of the mountain and usually in rutted tracked out pow for most of the day, so stability is ideal in most pow boards for most people

For powder board, stance setback is the key and will do more than the shape 95% of the time. Stiffness is a personal preference/what you can tolerate in the chop/terrain dependent; i.e. backcountry pow you are gonna want a stiff board, resort tree runs a soft noodle can be perfect. Setback Will help any board keep the nose up. As a new instructor, hearing you say you pull up on your front foot in pow makes me want to die hahahah. Proper setback should ease the powder leg strain and increase how often you can steer off the front foot.
