don't stack your receivers and antennas like that, use a mic combiner

I have an issue where the frequency and all of that is connected and I’m getting levels coming out on my sound board, but the light is red and so I’m not getting sound. The mic isn’t muted nor is the battery low. I just can’t figure out how to get the light to be green (or live) I’m not sure if it’s a settings issue or not

Weirdly, I’ve just run across the exact same issue. Did you figure it out? If not I’ll post back here if I do.

Turned out to be a cord problem

you can always increase the transmitter power from 1mw to 10 mw to get a stronger signal and do an auto scan

I have 4 of these units and more then 90 percent of the time when I turn on the receiver I’m getting blinking rf and it doesn’t matter where I am . I’ve tried your method of scanning and sometimes I’m having to scan 30 times before the rf signal will Go away is there any easier way or should I just buy a better unit then the qlxd

Perhaps a fancier make/model would do the frequency selection on the fly for you. More costly, yes. More transmit power wanted, yes.

The QLXD’s he’s using definitely have this feature. No clue why he’s doing it manually
@ntag4112 жыл бұрын
@@DJ-Coma QLXD, from what I can tell, is only a 10mW system. My church is using the Shure BLX288SM58, also a 10mW system. Initial setup is always fine but that's with virtually no one in the area. Once people fill the empty seating area dropouts can become very noticeable. The church was advised many moons ago to spend thousands of $$ but did not take the advise, all consumer grade equipment. I've recommended the Sennheiser Ew 500 having 50mW of power costing about 5x the Shure. They approved the idea but have yet to execute the purchases.
@DJ-Coma2 жыл бұрын
@@ntag411 my comment was in regards to the auto frequency selection feature, but that’s good info on the mW stuff. Was about to pull the trigger on a Shure SLXD but it looks like I have more research to do.

I have a Sennheiser mic doing the same thing. The indicator flickers at a high speed at times. I've changed frequency two times and the problem comes back. There is a electric piano between the transmitter and receiver. Could the piano be causing this problem?

Auto scan and war game , is the proper process without doing a full coordination of the venue. Randomly setting frequencies is a road to intermod distortion between the transmitters when you introduce a second, third, fourth etc...signal . I would be careful using this method. No hate just facts.
@wienerstein28172 жыл бұрын
THIS IS THE ANSWER. The internet really is the blind leading the blind these days.
@RobertPoff-qt2swАй бұрын
Having two mics on different groups can potentially cause intermodulation. There's a reason why there are groups. Keeping your microphones all within the same group is designed to eliminate intermodulation.

Good troubleshooting methodology, but these systems can do this process automatically and in a few seconds. There's no need to do it manually! You could spend 10 minutes doing this manually when the device itself can do it in 10 seconds (including automatically syncing the frequency to the transmitter). This unit retails for $1200 for several reasons, one of which is ease of use...please don't waste time doing this process by hand!
@johnr36963 жыл бұрын
There is no harm in doing manually. Rarely devices utilize RF meters. Not all devices have these features on hand.

I think the manual process explanation is helpful in this tutorial. It helps in explaining what the easier method is doing in the background.

Why not us WWB6 software to find frequency or let the receiver auto scan a clear group and band. Also do you try to find out where was the un-welcome signal came from. I assigned to each room and congregation to have their own group and channel to away from others.

Can anyone tell me which body pack and receiver I should get, make and model. I notice shure makes diff body packs, so any suggestions? [email protected] THANKS!!!
@rickpoole75856 жыл бұрын
Frequency scan works without the guesswork. I’d still say to watch the rf meter for any action. Additionally, keep mics in the same groups because different groups may actually slightly overlap other group frequencies. Last thing, with the recent wireless repack from the FCC, the available frequencies are getting jammed up especially in dense metro areas. You may want to consider learning how to use an antenna distro and some directional antennas. These will help focus your receivers towards the spaces your mics are coming from and not be catching 360 degrees around you.
