Cool to see the big M18 saw in action but pretty weak for them to put in an out-of-tune gas saw that won't even start for comparison. I do like that they made this saw but even without batteries it's heavy, with two big 12.0s it must be an absolute pig.

@@Gyppor it is heavy. That ms362 was an Mtronic saw so it’s wasn’t a tuning issue and it ran earlier that morning. I didn’t tear it down to see what was wrong with it as that would have been inappropriate at such an event. Maybe they sabotaged it, but I doubt it. They wanted it there to run against their saw. @ You’re not wrong. Definitely more control with a tag line. A crane would have given us even more control, but it would have cost more. Productivity is often a balance of getting things done with as little input as possible. In this industry that does translate pretty directly into managing risk and accepting a certain amount and know when to draw the line a spend more time on something to reduce the risk. Everyone has their own risk tolerance and I respect that yours might be different than mine. Risk tolerance is heavily experience dependent and nobody has an identical experience to anyone else.

Weld hinges vertically from side rails to the posts and head boards with removable pins. The pins are easy to pull, the force is transferred to the headboard, there is very little change in operations of the bed and it's cheap. You just need to make sure the hinges will support the load but I don't see that as a big obstacle.
