I generally prefer sound (especially for SD40s!) but there is something very relaxing about the clickety-click of non-sound locomotives. Especially when they run that well.

A quick story for you back in 1978 they had the Chessie System steam special so my family rode it from Cleveland to Willard Ohio and back.On the turntable at Willard there was a WM SD40 and they had a walkway over the yard and my dad took photos of the unit and I have the picture somewhere in the house and fell in love with the Western Maryland ever since.
