Do you know why I'm Still Here was nominated for the grand prize? Because it had time to be seen. And I believe it is a "surprise" precisely because it has the distribution that the other films have. It only premiered in 5 theaters in the US, but Sony's campaign was very good to get Academy members to watch it on the platform where the films are available. With the nominations, I believe there will be more distribution.

I've seen The Last Showgirl. The movie itself is pretty mid, but Anderson and Curtis do give award nomination level performances. They wouldn't be my personal choices, but I won't be shocked. Curtis is better than she was in EEAAO, so 🤷‍♂️

Yes, I thought it was just me. "GB: Frozen Empire" was a waste of time. "Beetlejuice 2" was a nothing burger too, I'm still trying to process what I saw and trying to figure out how I can get my time back I lost. The 1988 movie was much better. I also think "Abigail" was a time waster. The lead's line delvery was abysmal, she took me out of the movie, bless her heart. Yes, it had action and gore, but it was just blah overall. I feel insulted.😂
