Do you get increased xp if your teammates deal damage to enemies while your torpedoes/planes are near the enemy ship taking damage? Not sure if it's already a mechanic but more points for situations like what you did with the Astorias--forcing someone to move in a compromising way with planes/torps (both in this case)--is really useful for your team even if the salvo whiffs

That end could have been avoided if your teammates come out from behind the island and just banzai the last liberty ship. They could not shoot at it from their hiding spot. Their survival instinct of keeping their ship safe became their downfall because in this mode it is about stopping the liberty ships at any cost, even sacrificing your ship in situations like this.

Well in this game mode it all comes down to the right positioning. As for your damage, it is of course a lot of damage, BUT Ipiranga, Gouden Leeuw amd G.K. going full broadside to your main guns is a gift. These are noobish mistakes a lot of player still make and of course you took advantage of it. Your final mistake was obviously punished, but that happens to every player in the heat of a battle. I don't have the Libertad yet and I missed to get the special commander, but I still got the Ipiranga. And boy this is extremely tanky if right angled. It can easily hold up in any T10 game. I only had 1 opportunity to fight against a Libertad in my Mecklenburg and there are 2 options to get a Libertad pretty easy down. Kite and melt it down with either HE or accurate AP main guns (Mecklenburg 😎) or brutally charge it with a torpedo brawler (Mecklenburg 😎) always right angled. Well it worked 1 time, but it pretty much always works against any other ship, but this game is not a 1 vs. 1 battlefield so the whole performance of a ship depends always on the team on your side of the map.

300k damage with 1.9k base xp seems a bit low.

Just my opinion, but the EA camos on this line are the best since WG ran out of substantially finished pre split material (just look at the difference between WG and Lesta Michalangelo for a stark contrast). First line I bought the camo set for since the PanAm CL's. And yeah, convoy escort favors the defenders to a ridiculous degree if even one defender has hands.

I get the feeling some of your teammates don't understand what the priorities of this game mode are. Many Operations matches are lost for the same reason.

Back when Khaba was a beast, I remember griding through the line and people called the t9 "trash can't"... They nerfed khaba to the ground and buffed tash in a way that playing it was more enjoyable than khaba itself, until they added the Delny which, let's face it, its just a Tash with the 50mm sides... I still have very found memories of my tash time, first because it was the ship I spen't months trying to get the T10 (took me some years to be able to afford premium time) and second because it was the ship that teached me how to play the game itself, positioning, juking, aiming...

don't forget! you can use asw airstrike to negate enemy cv fighters. especially essex who isn't running interceptors. just a small thing to help your own cv so they can do strikes

Notice what Aeroon did to sink that slippery Hindenberg. He knew that player had mad juke skills so he staggered his shots one turret at a time and placed each shot in a slightly different spot thereby increasing his chances of hitting the Hindy whichever way it dodges. And with the target on low HP, it only takes a shell or two to sink it.

The secondaries are very inaccurate but the sheer volume of shells it spits out makes accuracy trivial, I love this ship
