Is it highly recommend to have 37s for trail 16? A Cherokee Trailhawk with a 2 inch lift on 32s basically matches a 4 door with a 3 inch lift on 35s on breakover angle and center clearance, but that's about it. I'd say if a trail can't be done with a 4 door wrangler on 35s then a Cherokee Trailhawk can't do it. I think you're at if not beyond the limit of my Jeep. If you're hitting your front bumper then there's a 100% chance I'll hit mine. Basically if a Wrangler hits its front bumper then every vehicle on the market will hit its front bumper lol. Wrangler is #1 by far.
@LJ_AF

I’ve heard that 16 is an absolute beast right now. SxS’s have it rutted out super bad. I’d recommend 37’s but be prepared to scrub your belly in the ruts for sure. I agree. Wranglers are where it’s at!
@off-roadingexplained8417
@off-roadingexplained8417 Жыл бұрын
@@LJ_AF man it is RIGHT on the limit. If you take a Rubicon extreme recon and swap the 35s for 37s you get a breakover angle of 28.5. if you lift a Cherokee Trailhawk 2 inches and put on 31.5 inch tires you get a breakover angle of 29. 32s on the Cherokee Trailhawk will get you to 29.8° . Totally maxed out with a 3 inch lift ( which many people don't do because of CV joint issues , you'd be at 31.8° breakover) . It's not all about breakover but just using that as a general guideline. So if I had 31.5 in tires on my Jeep I would roughly equal the break over of a four-door Wrangler with 37s. It would definitely equal a four-door Wrangler Rubicon Xtreme Recon with the 35 swap to 37s. It's hard to believe but that 10 in shorter wheelbase on the Cherokee Trailhawk is a big help as far as breakover angle goes. Now obviously the approach angle isn't going to be anywhere close to the Wrangler it's going to be behind by at least 5 if not 10°. But anyway when I watch these videos I'm basically looking for belly flops and bumper drags. If I see a Wrangler drag it's front bumper that's bad news for a Cherokee Trailhawk on that trail lol. I think I'm out about a 35° approach right now. I could do some bumper chopping and things like that and probably make it better but realistically the best you're probably going to get out of a Cherokee Trailhawk is maybe 40° approach. Wrangler Rubicon Xtreme Recon is 47.4 lol. You're never going to catch them lol. Basically I'm using the Wrangler Rubicon Xtreme Recon to emulate most modified Wranglers (so is Jeep I guess ).

Trail 16 stock with street tires in yellow jeep was not a good idea. I guess they figured that out about half way thru . Cudose for doing it. Did you do any damage. Put some 33 with a 3 inch lift and still a great daily driver and you won't have any issues on 16. That is what I have on my 2003 tj rubicon and it is also k y daily driver. Tires and lift are a must of you off road.
