This video sold me to Total War games. Back then i was like 15. My aunt gave me this game as a birthday gift. I didnt know what to expect. I didnt even had youtube access all the time. But the screenshots looked nice. Is it like Age of Empires 2 but with bigger pop than just 200? Installed the game, then saw this intro.

Watching this today, STILL gives me chills . I have seen this countless times, I NEVER skipped the Intro . Still gives me chills . If aynone wants to showcase to anyone what TW has lost over time, show them this intro . And make em compare it to the intros of newer Titles .

Growing up my dad would play this game a lot and I would literally just sit right next to him and watch him play, and everytime this intro would come we never skipped it. Now I’m 25 and I got it for myself it’s so good.

I’ve always loved the way that it presents the carthaginians and the parthians as the actual Villains here, with the barbarians having to be bailed out repeatedly and the Carthaginians basically going ‘deploy elephant’ when trouble arises.
