This is awesome. I noticed this oddity about the brain's HP reducing without even damaging it, well over a decade ago. I was trying to get screenshots and note down its various attack patterns for my site and for some reason, it was defeated with much less default machine gun fire than I expected considering how long it took with double C. Never looked into it any further, though.

Hey, man. I hope you obtain the Broken Butterfly magnum once you've rescued Ashley after Chapter 3-4. It's in the secret treasure room of the castle's western walls that leads you to the hedgemaze garden, but you'll need Ashley in order to unlock the door from the other side to obtain it. I'm telling you, man, this weapon packs a punch when you face tougher enemies and bosses in the game. And speaking of boss battles, here's a useful tip; when you face the Verdugo, Salazar, and U-3, be sure to use the Rocket Launcher. This weapon causes major damage once you subdue a boss with whatever weapon you use, including the Broken Butterfly. What do you say?
