Very cool. Is that the 505 or the Octatrack doing the vocal effect on the Embrace The Beat main vocal? Something like a half time and a doubler?

the Octatrack is doing the vocal effect with a vocoder effect. I pre-record a synth in one track of the 505 and use the vocoder in that track ✌

Really good stuff. Not many people out there combining real piano chops with gear like the Octatrack. Most of the time it’s one or the other it seems. Would love to see you build a loop with a more conventional looper, sync it, sample it and chop it with the OT, then layer more on top of that. Would sound huge!

How are you getting the moog to chop like that. 2:18 You are using the knob from the MK. Is that a sidechain effect?

Hey Thank you for your comment, no, is not a sidechain effect is Just a effect of the 505 “beat repeat ”. It makes the loop shorter

Thank you for your comment! The audio from the 707 and 505 is connected to the Octatrack, which serves as my main mixer. From the Octatrack, I have a MIDI cable going from its "In" port to the "Out" port of the 707, and from the 707, another midi cable goes to the 505. The keyboards are connected to the 505.

I just got a BOSS 505 AND A ROLAND 707. I also have an UltraNova Synth and Behringer Xenyx Mixer .. I have the TASCAM 32sd recording station. How Do I connect everything to record to the tascam for live play?
