Superman is a Christ allegory. All powerful righteous son sent to earth to save mankind. In Man O Steel, he’s 33 years old… When he initially strikes the panel on the spacecraft and Joe-El tells him he can “save” all of them. And then he drifts into space from the ship with his outstretched arms…kinda like being on a cross…?

Unfortunately, Doug knows Christ, but his story is one of covering for pedophiles, rapists, child abusers and spouse abusers in order to protect his own image and Moscow project. Then he uses what I call “Gospel squirrels” like the dog from the movie “Up”. SQUIRREL!! The dog is immediately distracted. So it goes with Doug every time he uses the Gospel and Jesus name… it’s just to distract people from the horrors committed in that church and Christian Nationalist movement as a whole. Steer clear.

Hey guys, do you have a movie list that's appropriate for Christians, like a clean movie list? Every time I try and pick something I end up turning them off after 5 mins due to swearing, etc..

Hello! Thanks so much for your comment! Our mission is to combat passive consumption of entertainment but realize that the span of convictions within our faith can range widely. We would never want to “encourage our brother to stumble” or lead anyone to ignore their conviction on what they watch. With this in mind I would like to reccomend and make you aware of two things: 1. We are currently working on a list of movies for those trying to navigate the entertainment industry within their convictions on language etc. 2. I would also reccomend you look into vid angel. If you are unaware it posts mainstream movies but it “cleans them up” for you to watch. We appreciate you reaching out and hope you stick around! WatchWell friend!

But plenty of Bible stories have their roots in more ancient literature - the story of Noah, for example, also the story of Moses (whose arrival by basket as an infant is directly lifted from the older story of Sargon), the story of Job (which mimics the Mesopotamian story of the righteous suffers), etc. It's just bad history to ignore all of this, and Doug Wilson is betting that you won't do the work to examine his claims.
@briannanelson4791Ай бұрын
If you look at the timeline of events and not just when it was written down, the story of Noah came before the story of Gilgamesh which was written during the time of the Sumerians after the flood. Every culture also has a great flood story, because every culture originated right after the flood. I hope you come away from this video not skeptical but eager to find the truth. Those who genuinely search for the truth will always find themselves at the feet of Jesus. May God bless you 🙂

@@briannanelson4791 But every culture does NOT have a great flood story! For example - Japan, which is an island nation and has incredible historical records, and no flood story whatsoever.

@aallen5256 I actually did not know that Japan doesn't have a Great Flood myth. That's actually really interesting. I wonder why...
@aallen5256Ай бұрын
@@briannanelson4791 the simplest explanation would be that Japan has no "Great Flood myth" because there was never a global flood. Also, where are the shared myths about all the animals of the world returning from a mountain in Turkey to their natural habitats!?

God gave Adam and Eve a choice in heaven cuz Eden was a part of Heaven if you don't know that choice allowed them to be great what allowed in the fall they chose the latter if you think that you're a Christian because you believe some people shouldn't have choices you're no better than Hitler styling or any other rest of them we make choices everyday call free will you live in places like North Korea God gave us free will not your will and it'd be quite honest with you description say no one understands no one seeks after God I think you think that doesn't mean you but it does lighten up man we're living through a bowl right now when you talking about the wrong thing repent and turn peace

Oh look, another "independent thinker" echoing Trump talking points. Not an original thought to be found in this video. If you support the DNC and their policies, you're not supporting the bible? My man, do you even know what the DNC policies are? Have you read the bible? I don't get the impression from this video that you've actually done either. Maybe start with the Jesus stories, and think about who he REALLY was, not who American churches depict him to be.

Here's an actual argument for Jesus being a real person. There are only 2 second-hand accounts for the existence of Augustus Ceasar, which were written long after he died. It was natural to write about figures after they died in rememberace. Do people believe Augustus Ceasar? Yes? Well, Jesus has more historical sources for his existence than anyone during his time.
