After watching many pct hikes, I can say I think early might be better because of snow bridges. Spring snow melt/suncups don't look fun. Early seems like the way to go, if your experienced, and careful. Going with a group early seems the way to go also, to help each other on difficult spots. But 2016 seems like its a low snow year, which made it seem easier.

Deathride for sure but what a way to die, those views are nice. No joke on the lungs i'm sure. Hope you had a blast. Great to see you, honestly had to look twice without a beard and backpack :) Congrats! I've been flying drones and learning how to edit and dig it :) Peace, Wheelchair John in Idaho :)

Breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and great togetherness as a couple and with others. Lovin' it! But the very best moment of all was at 4:05, when that splendid woman you are privileged to go through life with spoke three pure and powerful words from the depths of her happy soul. You are one lucky dude to be loved like that, and by someone who obviously shares your passion for the outdoors. Long may the trail of life and sharing belong to the two of you! :-)

I am 61 and have loved the outdoors my whole life. Just now getting in a position where I can do some hiking. I find your videos of your journey totally delightful and entertaining. How wonderful that you had the time, finances, and determination to weather this journey. Memories of a lifetime that will make you smile forever! I think I will handle all of that stuff ok..except those bugs! That is going to totally make me sad and frustrated!

Brian, I am new to your channel and have enjoyed just a few episodes while you were in Washington. I must say that you practically freaked me out when I seen you without your long bushy hair and beard. You looked like another person to say the least! I don't think I ever saw a greater appearance transformation from just a haircut and shave. Your wife looked stunning as always. Thanks for taking us along. We will be watching more episodes.
