I like the idea of J-B weld easy fix. If you knew the screw size. I would think a good hardware store would have a stainless steel screw the same size, and you could drill out different sizes to meet your needs. Nice video.

My coworker has one. A little advice is apply some wax where the sections come together. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen sections of his rod fly into the water when he cast. He hasn’t lost a section yet because of the lure tied to the end but it’s just a matter of time. All it takes is the lure to snag something and it’s game over. I’ve told him what to do but he doesn’t listen.

My guess it after buying 2 or 3 more of them you got sick of it and bought a STIHL FS 110 or higher and a real brush blade and have been kicking yourself for all of the years and money you spent trying to get these second-rate garbage can fillers to run....

I'm seriously thinking about getting this machine one day, but I'm nervous 😅; the Grizzly machine starts at 6k up to 8k but it's it really tasty much better? Thanks for reviewing this machine, good video! PS; for the money, this machine might be a hidden gem; mini mills cost this much, but they do not have the power nor the weight. That said, I'll gladly pay 1k or a little more extra to get better surfaces and fit and finish. Thanks again for the video!

@ROCKNTV13 ай бұрын
sumptn wonky with the comments,,,, but the original sears mnt for the blade fits the mule drive slot in the frame and the lower mount is the axle, basicly you cant do both. Honestly, of the several 3 spindel decks i had, ALL were mashed in front by previouse careless owners. You prob could leave the deck mounted but you could not spin it. For me, i had more than one suburban, and this was the pusher puller. thanks for watchN

@@ROCKNTV1 the mule drive pulley is welded to rectangular metal that slides over front of tractor frame , dozer has same rectangular metal that slides over tractor frame - if that makes sense - if I cut the sides off of dozer rectangular frame I could drill some holes and bolt it to mower mule drive rectangular frame -

I have a model 922 with a 42x1" leather belt. I looked up the specs on your belt and it shows it's 41 3/16" long. I'm guessing you can adjust for tension, so my replacement doesn't need to be exactly 42" like the old leather one, right?
@ROCKNTV13 ай бұрын
Hi, if you use the part# of belt i show you should be all set. Dont forget the drive cover is the tensioner. Thanks for watchN
@ROCKNTV13 ай бұрын
P.S. Not currently looking at my lathe, but the attempt was to get the drive axle in the middle of it's swing. These belt wont stretch much, and you can use a cloth type tape, like from a sewing kit. I think you could get away with a 42 just fine irrc

so actualy if you would use it on a piece of mdf you would get a smooth surface as opposed to using real wood that has harder and softer spots in it
@ROCKNTV13 ай бұрын
NEGATIVE ,,, do not use wood with any glue. This was a 5/8 pine scrap. What I am saying is the rings of the tree ARE the hard and soft spots. Hope that explains what i mean as I dont know the biologic terms for these area, argh. :-]
@happymark18053 ай бұрын
@@ROCKNTV1 yeah, that explains a lot, so mdf will not work and every wood has rings in it, maybe a piece of hardwood will work better
@ROCKNTV13 ай бұрын
mdf burns just fine but so does the glue/ makes a mess, and you realy need fume extraction. hard wood is deff prefered. Bass wood is common.

If you mix your fuel for two stroke tools definitely don't leave the fuel in it if the gas had alcohol in it. It will cause problems and these tools are expensive. Best to use the premixed fuel in a can without alcohol or find gas with no alcohol to mix the oil with.
@ROCKNTV13 ай бұрын
Noted. I ALWAYS run dry at season end, and add stabiliser to my mix. The only places here in the north east to get real gas is the air field and far to expensive to run in a 80$ engine. Even my 40 YR old chains saws get my formular. Thanks for watchN john

Sorry I'm late to the party, Robert Murray Smith channel has a wind turbine made from a clothes dryer, he used generation at the rim. So you could do something similar using a bunch of magnets around the rim, and use a bunch of turntable motors from old microwaves as the pickup. There's also some great serpentine coil generators on his channel, though on a much smaller scale.
