This is a good point but not what the first one was talking about. And technically the post is still correct (unless it isn't using the Gregorian calendar) the average 9-5 job would only have 11 holidays meaning you work a total of 3550 hours a year far more that the 1800 hours a year of a medivial peasant as the post presented.
@9usuck02 ай бұрын
@MothNoir_The_Hypocrisy the point of the post is to make today's idea on work feel harder than previous. So, my comment is directly related. Those 1,800 hours aren't the same and don't have the same limitations our do. I'd much rather keep living with more of our hours than less in theirs, and if you can't understand that, then you do not live near any farmers. Because those "holidays" are somewhat based on the type of work and seasonal growths. Bakers, I doubt, had all those holidays off.
@MothNoir_The_Hypocrisy2 ай бұрын
@@9usuck0 fair point, the specific point I believe it was highlighting though was the specific time of work. But the points brought up in this comment are fair to a TOTAL analysis of the subject late and by extension Early European and asian serfdom was a horrible experience. Never the less The original post was probably just a meme though.

@@James-tv4pl to some extent I agree with you. We lock people up for things that shouldn’t be illegal. People often learn more about crime by being in prison than they would have otherwise.
