Hi Amanda. I'm planning a 5-day tour in Albania. Should i take accommodation in Ksamil or Saranda?
@TheLensCapChronicles3 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks for reaching out. It depends quite a bit on the experience you are hoping for. Will all 5 days be in the same region? Do you want to experience a larger city or smaller town? Ksamil is busy with tourists but walkable and more of an intimate (but expensive) beach club experience that can be discovered in a few days. Each beach club is usually based on its own separate cove & you can visit smaller islands off of the coast. Sarande is a larger city experience but still has long stretches of beach clubs. The beach clubs tend to run one into another as the stretch of beach is so long. However, there are probably more options for nightlife in the evening. From what I saw personally, I liked Ksamil better. It depends on your personal preference, however. I hope this helps!

Hello, just discovered your channel, loving the videos - very useful in my planning for an upcoming Sri Lanka trip - thank you! In one of your other videos you mentioned a great driver you had (the one who made you the cute collage) and I wondered if you had his details as I am looking for a driver and would love a personal recommendation so I know I've got a good one! Thanks in advance

Hi. Looks like you had an amazing time. With 3 day grandstand tickets are you able to get into other grandstands on the friday and Saturday like at Silverstone or are you limited to your 1 seat for the whole weekend? Thanks 👍
@TheLensCapChronicles3 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks - we found it such a great weekend! We found that you weren't limited to your seat, but you were limited to the Grandstand that you were allocated. So you couldn't go to a ticket/bar in a different Grandstand if it wasn't on your ticket but you could sit in an empty seat if noone was there. Local expats in Abu Dhabi choose various Grandstands for different reasons - eg. easy bar access vs best views. Hope this helps!

Yes nature in Sri Lanka is stunning, but it is important to have content on Sri Lanka's history and place in the world. It is one of the top 5 civilizations of the world from 300BC to 1500AD - the ancient kingdoms of Anuradharapura and Polannaruwa were up there with the Roman Empire, Greeks, Egytpians, Han Dynasty and Maurya empires. Mindfulness was first written down in the world in Sri Lanka in 100 BC. It had some of the most advanced hydraulic engineering systems in the ancient world, with enormous reservoirs (tanks) and canals, enabling large-scale agriculture in a tropical environment. Education, art and culture were world-leading. Unfortunately Portuguese, Dutch and British came and destroyed much of this and extracted much of the country's resources and left the people fighting each other. At the moment Sri Lankan people are not their best, but write off such an ancient, innovative and resilient people at your own cost.

Hi! I didn’t see any public beaches and have also done a quick Google search. It doesn’t appear like you can swim in the water unless you pay at a beach…. Unless you have your own boat or paddle board I guess! Good luck!

Hi! Thanks for the comment and glad you are enjoying Albania. I talked about the rubbish situation in some of my Albania videos. I agree with you - there is so much construction, rubble and rubbish as Albania is newly emerging on the tourism front. I hope there are efforts to improve this in the future.

India is not safe for girls... As a brother i am speaking my sister had to think twice before going out at her work during night shift... Its completely bull shit to tell a country is independent with womens are being exploited so much even in 2024... Even with so much of proofs present the judiciary takes 5 to 6 freaking years to give justice ... this is our india... As indians do also speak the dark side of the country ... a country which is termed as bharat mata, the irony is that womens are the most exploited ones... our india 🇮🇳🇮🇳 as a true indian i want every girls should feel free and safe while going out at night ... and dont blame dresses... if it was a case than childrens wouldnt be rap**... thanks

Thanks! So great to have you as part of the team! We were there in February and found it was a great month to travel, particularly if you want to travel around the island. I did talk about it in the video but absolutely no worries. There are 2 different monsoon season depending on which side of the island you are on, but we found February was a great time between monsoons and only experienced rain on a handful of occasions. Hope this helps! 🙂
