What are you utilizing to create the A.I. J-Mill Thumbnail? I'm starting to see content creators utilize A.I. pictures for Thumbnails to the chagrin of some but I think it's good. I was just rereading about your preference with Kajabi in book 2 (LYP) in the YMMS.

I love Atticus, highly recommended, been using it two or more years. Simple, cheap, clean and high quality, plus support has always been so good to me.

It's no longer worth it IMO. It was great until the last update (the "collaboration" update), but now it's incredibly slow, sluggish, and just a pain to work with.

I've been using Reedsy's Studio for the past year. When it works it's great, but far too often it pops up with the Offline message "Oops! Looks like you're offline. Trying to reconnect...". No this isn't because my internet is offline, everything else always works and there's dozens of reddit threads and quora articles about this. It's a server side issue on their end which has apparently persisted for many years. Something for people to keep in mind before using this to write your book, because while it's great when it works, there's nothing worse than being unable to edit or export your manuscript because their servers happen to be acting up (which again, happens ALL THE TIME).

General work flow question. Do you complete all your editing and proof reading in another program and then only begin working in Atticus when those edits are done? Currently I created my content in Google docs (collaborating with another author and this just made it easier), then editing in ProWritingAid. I’m intending to move that to Atticus once we are happy with the edits and then start working on the formatting.

I just bought Atticus and MidJourney because I heard both are great. I don't disagree but am still in a steep learning curve.
@dawnjohnson8739Күн бұрын
Atticus is so easy, there’s hardly anything to learn. The only place I got stuck was when I tried to get to the formatting page where you set book size and font choice, etc. It turns out, on top of Atticus, in the center, there are two tabs: 1. Writing. 2. Formatting. For whatever reason, if you’re using one, you really can’t see the other. Once in the Formatting mode, it shows you Themes, but there is no way to know what to do from there - but if you look to the tiny, tiny, tiny 3 dots at the bottom right of the template, you’ll see Edit. When you press on that it will lead you to the page where you can choose books size, font, etc. That was the only place I got stuck.

This might be helpful to anyone searching: I use Scrivener only as a word processer and organizational tool (it's a godsend), and InDesign for formatting/design because of the staggering amount of control it offers. I tried Atticus for $147.00 and immediately got a refund. My first problem with it: it's browser based. No executable file or standalone window, so it feels more like you're inputting information into a browser than "working on your laptop", if you will. It's like using Photopea instead of Photoshop. Now imagine that Photopea costs $147.00 and you start to understand where I'm coming from. Next, the aesthetic is for middle school-level kids, which is totally fine, but it's not my cup of tea as something I'm going to be interfacing with for many, many hours.
