I hate that No-HUD stil has a HUD (creature/character/players names, labels; notifications; tooltips, etc.) Beautiful video games are made ugly by their HUDs, and it's weird to me that they would provide options to turn stuff off... but not *all* the stuff. I guess I really should focus on PC as a gaming platform, and look forward to mods that fully kill the HUDs.n

She's tough, the wind blasts soon stack up. I think I may have been running a specific anti kushala build for this fight though with full wind resistance, so long ago now and my usual build was vastly different. Looks like I've got divine protection running too which again, not part of my usual build. Haven't really got any firm advice for her though, I'm pretty basic in my hunting... big hammer, go for the head lol

Just a tad smaller than the baz but there is a similarity there with its scales. Haven't really settled on a fave so far, I kind of like shrike just for It being basically an owlbear. Hopefully the maelstrom will throw some decent looking ones my way

Nice lap Ian really smooth, few tips final chicane you need to be more suicidal, losing a good half a second to a second there and use all of the track right out to the edge on the entrance and exits to make even more time. Try the porsche as well, quicker than the Jag.

didn't have a choice of car as this was the circuit challenge where it puts you in the jag. shall have to time trial it at some point as i was faster in the bmw than the jag

yeah the jag is pretty slow. dose it show freinds fastest times? might be an easy way to earn cash and have a time trial board that works

It does show friend's times but my list was empty. I'd already got the gold medal too so didn't get any more money paid out

You got a Hotas, but a dualshock 4 absolutely sucks for this mission. Way too many different things configured to the same buttons and that makes the conrols way overly complicated. For me at least. Or maybe I just suck because I cannot seem to stop dieing at the first ship. I do well up to that first pass where you bumped him and slowed him down(Didn't realize that was an option. Most other games I've played the vehicle you're in explodes.), but from then on he's behind me and I can't shake him or turn it around quick enough to stay on him. I just get destroyed.

How about the performance? 30 o 60 fps? Any annoying drops? Is it worth to buy?

still not sure what fps it's running at but it does play smoothly. open play can sometimes stutter when using the fsd as you enter/exit supercruise/hyperspace but that could be where it's communicating with the server. solo play doesn't stutter at all when using the fsd so it does make me think it's a server issue rather than a game issue. yes, it's very much worth getting but it's not exactly the easiest or most clearly explained game I've come across. peeps say it's got a steep learning curve, I'd say it's learning curve is pretty much vertical

JoniTRIXz I've been told today that the pro settings options are tucked in the grafx settings so I must have missed them although I swear they weren't there over the weekend. I'll have a check later and see if it expands and explains what grafx or performance mode actually mean

Elite Kara they'll replace your starting sidewinder for free I've read but any other ships you need the funds to cover the cost of a repurchase plus the insurance cost

i have it and am having difficulty meeting up with buddies! they spawned us a WAYS away in 2 different systems. i started a "wing" with him, but it looks like we have to grind a jump drive upgrade before we can meet up. then i'm wondering what happens if we play separately and then try to rejoin together.

IrishNomad not sure yet as there's no actual menu option to choose between performance or visuals. im hoping they're adding a selection option in a day one patch or if not it's dynamic and during high stress points it drops the grafx effects to keep the fps up

IrishNomad been waiting for it for ages myself. even bought the t flight hotas 4 for it especially. been repeating the training missions most of the weekend and can't wait for Tuesday to get here to get on it properly

ian conway Oh the hotas will be great! My bro and I both pre-ordered and will be creating a squad. He ordered the hotas as well but I'm waiting to see if they patch in a VR mode before I buy one.

IrishNomad they have said they're still looking into adding vr support but I went with the hotas as I didn't want to start on the ds4 and then try and switch controllers after I'd got used to one already. Glad I did go for the hotas, it's been mint during training missions and fully supported with all button prompts accurately mapped. they've supported it really well

4tech69 not that I've noticed. there was a bit of texture pop-in on the asteroids on the first training mission but the other missions I tried seemed fine to me
