Do the compartments stay dry or is that a problem area?

They stay dry for the most part. Xpress fixed the problem with additional drain holes by the compartment lips. That being said if those holes get clogged then water will get in if it’s a downpour.

I got a 04 xpress 21 footer with a 225 vmax I have never had any problems with it and it still looks brand new I don’t have all the graphs on it like that the decks have been changed up since then but I have had 6 dirty 30s dragged over the side of mine word up here from Texas
