Never knew that the video of Jeff Jarrett with Robert Fuller is most likely what led to Fuller becoming Tennessee Lee in WWE managing Good Ol' Double J when he debuted.

I always loved when a wrestler came out and sat at ring side during another wrestler's match. Even if nothing happened, it always added tension because you never knew if something would happen.

Wrestling II vs. Killer Brooks with Wresting I as the ref and Zbyszko, Pez Whatley, and young, baby face Rick Rude at ring side. All of this after Brooks, serving as ref, screwed over Whatley in his match against Zbyszko. Classic GCW/WCW. They never disappointed when it came to escalating a feud.

I'm not disputing the title change itself, Rose and Somers as a heel team winning the belts is the right call, but that finish was pure GARBAGE. I'm reasonably certain it's been a forever rule that titles can't change hands on count out or disqualification, and from what I could tell from the commentary, that remains the case. Was there a pre-match stipulation that nullified the champion's advantage? Because the announcers sure as hell didn't make that clear nor was it stated in the match introductions. It seems like the booking was designed to protect Hall and Hennig from eating a pin, but I think the Col. DeBeers interference spot was more than enough of an excuse to protect Hall when eating a pin. Instead, we get an insulting finish that spits in the face of established rules and logic.

Ta-gar. this is like a cross between Mark Guileen bringing in someone that never appeared in the "coming week" and the Black Scorpion. Pretty sure Ta-Gar was a one off as he's not found on the cagematch results page anywhere.

Master Blaster would go on to become Henry O. Godwinn. So both Godwinn's were in the USWA at this point before they became the tag team of Tex Slazinger and Shanghai Pierce in WCW.

and someone forgot to put the turnbuckle pads on the corners this week. It gives the ring a pre1989 feel in Memphis.

and we also get the Memphis TV debut of Tex Salanger aka Tex Slazinger aka Phineas I. Godwinn. :) And in that same 8 man match we get Danny Davis looking like a mini Sting.

37 minute mark. The plastic bag of doom. It was used 2 weeks ago against Robert Fuller in Dallas and now here is the same angle on Memphis TV. Seems like someone at AEW has been watching old wrestling tapes, since Bryan Danielson was on the receiving end of a bag over the head recently.

Currently I don't. But I'll see what I can dig up. Very interested in checking out any KAW history you're able to compile.

Bill Dundee with zero camera sense during the opening interview. Has his back to the camera and keeps blocking Jamie Dundee and Eddie Marlin in the shot even when they attempt to switch cameras. Almost makes you think the storyline was Lawler's idea and he's trying to sabotage it. LOL
