@@CastillejaPerformance yeah I been trying to get a 3d model of the whole car. Exterior of the car to be exact. If I ever get into 3d modeling again I would like to try and make a wide body kit for it. Also trying to model some intrusions into the hood to look like streetscenes carbon fiber hood.

@@mvp2000pj I’m currently working on mine awd, it’s super simple, to make it more simple you can get 06 wrx rear subframe and make some holes to bolt to the undercarriage, for the wheel assembly im not sure since mine are all custom but i think wrx you can make them work as well.

@CastillejaPerformance idk if it'll fit. That might actually work out if it does lol but I'm sure my 18 wrx is wider then my 03 Protege5 hatch... but i hope you make a video going AWD!

@@CastillejaPerformance they didnt work on them. SP20 came in AWD to NZ and some other countries. NZ got most of the cool jap cars. So OEM Awd. The Jap cars in NZ are also cheap. We sold our SiR civic with 80k on clock for 2k before we left for AU. Evo 6 used to cost 12k as well lol.

@followerofgod6558 yes you can, I belive the transmission and rear brackets are different on a k20 but as always get a k20 ek swap kit and you should be able to male it work, just the rear one might need modifications.

@noahricca8915 for now, yes. Once I have it AWD, run it for a summer and go turbo. But honestly, I've been driving it all this summer, and I love it . So I might just consider staying na idk yet.

@noahricca8915 yes, with the brackets you can drill the holes and put long bolts or weld them to the frame. The rear bracket does need modifications, that would be all. Other than ps line and ac condenser to compressor line.

That would be a nice build. I've been thinking about getting a probe and swapping it, but that might be in the future when other builds allow it. If you do decide to do it. Make sure to share some videos that would be cool to follow.

@@CastillejaPerformance Yes if I do it I will. I live in europe and I have the hatchback with the sloping rear, it's a bit like an Audi A7. Most likely I will first turbo the factory 4 cylinder. Very illegal in my country but you can avoid inspections. I love this car, it feels nicer to drive than many way more modern and expensive cars, and it looks very elegant.

@@CastillejaPerformance so you can use Mazda oem fuse boxes?

@notthis7190 yes you can. You just have to wired it same way as an separate fuse box. The gut that did the harness for me suggested to get a separate one just because we didn't know what was needed and what was extra. But if I get to do another one I would use the oem mazda fuse box . Less mess next to the ecu.

I ended up staying with the aluminum one and upgraded the thermostat to an integra type R one, and it's been my daily for months now, no issues.

@valherustinger7848 not yet, it's all stock for now. I'm going to use it this summer as is and in winter put it in the garage and start preparing the engine for boost. It's all wired for turbo already, so that should save me some time.

That's a really good question. You know I went and looked at both my msp fs engine and k and driver and passenger seem to be on the same position. But you do need to do a bracket for both just because the way passenger motor mount is. The tranny sits a little.lpwer than the mazda so bracket there as well. Now saying that it would still make sense to use the brackets to the chassi and honda mounts since mazda doesn't offer to many aftermarket mount options. I'm using the rear mazda oem tho.

@@CastillejaPerformance Thanks for replying, I go back in forth looking at the position the both engines sit at and they seem to be around the same spot, the only aftermarket mounts I’ve seen for the Protege are AWR racing, maybe making some custom brackets for the stock mounts could work 🤔
