hello, i love the pattern so far and i'm really enjoying making the sweater! i had a question regarding the sleeves, would it be fine to not do the single crochet with a 3.5 mm hook at 7:30 if I dont want a cuff? I'd prefer a straight fit so I was thinking of just doing a herringbone stitch with a 5.5 mm hook for the entire length, would that affect the pattern size in any way?
@TheKnottyLace2 ай бұрын
Hey! No not at all. Go ahead without the cuff but remember to measure as you go to get the right fit! Love the idea 💕

I'd love to make these! Time to go back to the yarn store! I know exactly who needs these Quick question. Has anyone washed these yet? Are they machine washable? Lay flat to dry or best to hand wash? I know the yarn is machine wash and dryable but unsure how that translates when stuffed and shapped

I love this pattern, I’m making more of a shrug with bell sleeves! It’s one of the best tutorials and the top just looks gorgeous. I am wondering about the body panels though if you end up on a sc row, so when you add the collar you technically have two rows of sc, or if you end with the tc clusters so when you add the collar it’s technically one row of sc? Thanks again for the pattern and video! ❤

so glad the video exists bc I was very confused by the written pattern when my stitches weren't lining up properly. at the beginning of each row you say to skip the chains but after watching closely I see you are also skipping the first stitch of the row as well, which is why I kept having an extra stitch before increase at the bottom of the heart. would you consider updating your written pattern video description to reflect this so others can avoid the same confusion?

Heya! I started this the other day. I've followed your tutorial and I'm using a 5mm hook and double knit yarn. On the back panel, it seems very large for for a large, however I've done 56 rows and my back is nowhere near as big as yours ... where have I gone wrong?
@TheKnottyLace6 ай бұрын
Did you check the gauge that it matches the pattern? If not, this pattern is easily adjustable, so you can adjust the width to your preferred size by measuring what you need and calculating how many chains it would take for that width size and then increase the length from there. Hope that helps.
@rebeccap59916 ай бұрын
@TheKnottyLace thank you for your reply. Im not sure hoe the gauge works in total honesty! It confuses me. Im aiming to make a large to xl. My size is only half yours so would i do 108 rows?
@TheKnottyLace6 ай бұрын
No problem, all you have to do is make a square piece pref 4 x 4 inches, and see how many stitches and rows you used to make them. From there you will be able to estimate how many stitches you will need to work up for that size. You can learn more about gauge and how it can help with making the right size here www.theknottylace.com/how-to-measure-crochet-gauge/. - hope this helps.

No there is no row between the double decreases for the 1st - 8th row. Why didn't it work? Are you making enough chains at the beginning? Remember that it will look "smaller" before adding the border/ edging. Hope that clarifies. Thanks

Hey there! Yay that’s amazing your first cardigan! I have the No. yarns (skeins) written in the description box. It mentions each group size : XS-S[M-L/ XL-2XL/ 3XL-4XL] = 9[ 11/12/14] . This yarn is from rainbow hobbii 8/4 yarn which is about 160m / 175 yrds per skein. Thats about 1760m for m/l and 1920m for xl/2xl. This is a baggy oversized cardigan too. So I guess you might need more. 🙈I hope that helps :) - check out the description box for more info. Thanks - Shaz.
