@@skinminimalist yeah, that’s what keeps me from buying their stuff. I’ve seen even powders going bad in under a year (and before the expiration timeframe mentioned in the packaging) for some people… and because I don’t use stuff up easily (a curse for liking variety), it’s a big risk for me… I think I’ll sit it out, even because the thing I’m more tempted to get is the powder bronzer, and I already have the RMS one, which is wonderful.

I need to replenish the latter and wondering if I should repurchase “peau de peche” or try the “peau de rose”. Since rosy highlighter work better on me, I am tempted by the rosy shade you showed - which one would you recommend me? Thanks

@@skinminimalist hey, lovely 🥰 from what I remember when I swatched it in store, peau de rose is a more neutral rose-pink shade than peau de peony… peau de peony has a bit more cool tones, slightly more lavender-y. It still is subtle enough to just give a hint of those cool tones, but it’s there. It works wonderfully as a topper with cooler toned blushes. It comes down to what you’re looking for every day wear. Peau de rose may be a bit more neutral, subtle and everyday suitable for how you wear your makeup. The swatches on models on the website are pretty accurate, I’d say (which is surprising nowadays) ;) I hope this helps!

The pigmentation corrector depends on how you use it: if once a day, it’ll last basically as much, but if you’d like to use it twice a day (they can be paired with each other), it will last you less, of course. They have a very standard amount, and a quite thin texture that spreads very easily. It’s a matter of the size of your face and how heavy handed you usually are with your products.

Hey! Thank you for stopping by :) I’m wearing Violette FR Yeux Paint in Dieu Bleu. I’m in love with the colour, but I must warn you it’s not the easiest liquid eyeshadow/liner to apply. It’s a bit watery and can get patchy. The applicator is a bit too thick and doesn’t give even application, you’ll need a brush, and you’ll have to layer the product a bit and finesse it for a while to get an even coverage. It flakes off in some places, throughout the day (if you look closely you can see there’s a bit of a chip off on one of my eyes lol), and it also can collect on your lashes making them crunchy, so you’ll have to clean them off as you go (once it sets, it’s very hard to remove from the lashes, although it comes off easily from the skin with any makeup remover or balm). But it’s a very unique colour I haven’t found in any other formulas, so it’s worth it for me :)

I think the click closure packaging is also to do with formula stability. Click close would typically indicate it is air-tight so would prevent the balm from drying out/limit exposure to air and degradation. I don’t know though. Just a possibility.
@thefreevolous7 ай бұрын
Absolutely, it’s very likely that’s a variable. I also went on a full explanation showing my Romand packaging because it has a very slow twist-up system that helps you control the amount of product whilst being able to wind it down again, but I cut it for time eheh at the end of the day, I like the packaging, it feels effective and there’s no flaw in my eyes in that department, although I can see some people may miss the magnetised closure and some of the weight. But then again, I think people will use these up so quickly, I honestly hope they can be fully recyclable this way ;)

The answer from Lisa’s wonderful team: “Lisa and the Product Development team have used a synthetic vanilla aroma / flavor within Baume Embrace to enhance the user experience of the product. The formula contains a high proportion of natural waxes which can have their own odour. The aroma endures there is consistency and the waxes don’t overpower the scent. Therefore, the Baume Embrace formula is not classed as fragrance free”.

Ooof that’s so annoying. @@Majspiir you’re so kind, thank you. Oh, and that “aroma” talk is all so going around in circles, trying to make it look like it’s something different and more “healthy” or whatever. It’s just another word for fragrance. It’s very common in Latin-descending languages, so we spot it a mile away, but it’s also present in English, like in aromatherapy and aromatic herbs lol. They’re bending over backwards unnecessarily and it ends up coming across a bit disingenuous. It’s a well known type of ingredient in the cosmetic world - it comes with the risk of some people being sensitive to it, the same way as when a product doesn’t have fragrance having the risk of not being perceived as luxurious as its counterparts. At the end of the day it’s just a market placement decision - although in this brand’s case it comes off odd because they have been quite vocal about not adding fragrance to their products. It’s ok change strategies, but especially if your customer based it not expecting fragrance, just disclose it up front with no beating around the bush so that people can make an informed decision.

Those don't have fragrance... Lisa said this as response on some comment that taste and smell are bad and that they want better taste
@thefreevolous7 ай бұрын
No other product from the Lisa Eldridge line contain fragrance, but these balms do. It’s on the ingredients list as “aroma”, which is a highly volatile fragrance compound that is used in cosmetics to add a smell and taste (because they are always connected) - aroma is a Latin origin word, but in English you’ll recognise it from “aromatic herbs” and “aromatherapy”, for example. She may have decided to just add vanilla to give flavour to the product, but this inherently makes them smell of vanilla. It’s always connected. I personally like the scent, but the flavour is quite bitter and overpowering. There’s a screenshot of the ingredient list on my video, but you can go on her website and look up the full ingredient list page and check for yourself. None of her other lipsticks have any taste or smell, these are the first (and I personally believe she should have warned people of this, because her customers are not expecting it from her products). You can see from other comments here they are even refunding some customers because the fragrance they chose is causing some sensitivity issues in some people.
