Thank you for showing the side by side comparison of the two bottles! I wanted to get an 12oz but I cannot for the life of me determine the size. This pushed me to get the hotshot lid because it seems easy to clean compared to Thermos guardian lid. It was a nightmare to clean

i have a coleman camping gas hot water system that i found ij hard rubbish... the electrics are fried but im refitting it as a manual system much the same as this, i will we looking at running it off a microsquirt motorcycle ecu and treating water temp and gas flow similar to how you would tune an air to fuel ratio and using the fuel pump signal to run the water so it primes like a fuel system... my hope is to make it control pressure, flow rate ajd temperature but also run off a switch that knows to prime the water before sending the gas and to shut off the gas berore the water stops pumping, it will be off my solar system as far as electrics and will allow me to run a regular swap and go gas tank instead of those little cans.

I worry about bacteria, so one the main consideration for me is how easy a spork is to clean in the field. Some sporks have long tines that make it difficult to clean well in between. I prefer the sporks that look more like a mountain range than a fork.

Just received a new one from eBay here in the UK and hoping to heat a tent with it when there isn’t an electric hook up Of course all fire precautions will be taken, a fire blanket on the floor and one to throw over it plus a fire extinguisher and some ventilation. Virtually silent just hope it’s enough output. Makes for a single fuel if using Trangia for cooking as well.

Just buy some rubber heater hose or fuel line with a close diameter to the metal size. Cut 4 pieces same width as the arms and slice down middle, wrap around metal arms and the rubber should keep it in place.
