Lord, You said, the Scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom, that means rightness and fairness in handling disputes; If this is who you are, then You are a sham, a charlatan and a deceiver. that's all I will say because there has not been rightness or fairness in the case ;

Praise the Lord Pastor. It is my sincere desire to study the fundamentals of our faith. But I do not know how to start or from where to start. My daughter got me a book ‘Case for Christ’ by Lee Strobel, because she knew how much I desired this book. But the fact is that it is now almost 1 year and I have hardly read the first chapter. Now I am wondering if I truly have the desire or not? I start well, with note book and writing down points while reading etc. But it does not go on for long. I am unable to retain what I learn and that demotivates me to read on. What do you suggest that I do? And what would you suggest as a good book to study the fundamentals of our faith.

Praise the Lord. I am glad you have the desire to know God and his word. Case for Christ is an apologetics book. I may not recommend that as a first reading as some concepts may seem hard to remember and recall like you just described. I'll suggest another book in a few days.

Pastor, another doubt. Why is Paul in the epistle to the Philippians referring to bishops and deacons (ch 1:1)?

Pastor, during your future bible study, please explain Trinity in layman's language. I praise God for how He is teaching us such great and fundamental truth in such a simple manner, through this bible study sessions.

Praise the Lord, Pastor. I have not yet heard the complete Bible Study, but I have heard the part about saint. You mentioned that the meaning of saint is one who is set-apart. Once a person believes the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and accepts Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of his/her life, then that person is a saint (set-apart). Once a person is set-apart, then is it correct to still be part of a church that practices customs and traditions that are not Biblical (like child baptism, praying to the saints, praying through the saints, praying for the dead). Once a person is set-apart, then is it right for that person to participate as a guest for a marriage conducted in a temple followed by food (which is also served in the temple premise). Once a person is set-apart, then is it right for that person to participate in community events like Onam celebration, Eid celebration etc? These may be very silly questions, but I wish to address them, rather than be confused when invited for events. I want to know WHAT WOULD JESUS DO, so that we could do likewise.

Q1: Once a person is set-apart, it is correct to still be part of a church that practices customs and traditions that are not Biblical (like child baptism, praying to the saints, praying through the saints, praying for the dead). Answer: Once saved, a person cannot be part(a member) of a church that practices customs that are not valid according to scriptures. But if you are invited to attend a wedding in that church, that's fine, you can attend. Q2: Once a person is set-apart, then is it right for that person to participate as a guest for a marriage conducted in a temple followed by food (which is also served in the temple premises). Answer: Paul addresses this issue in 1 Corinthians 8. The point is, it's okay to eat food offered to idols. It doesn't hurt our faith but what may hurt is when a fellow brother or sister sees us doing it, if they weak in the faith and they stumble. That is an issue. Q3: Once a person is set-apart, then is it right for that person to participate in community events like Onam celebration, Eid celebration etc? Answer: Community events don't matter but its best to avoid anything to do with a religious ritual or ceremony.

Praise the Lord Pastor. Today's message 'Jezebel spriti in the church' has been so powerful and thought provoking. I would like to share what the Lord has been doing in my life. Around 2 months ago, I was led to hear a message from Time Square Church on 'Husbands to be the head of the Home'. The link was forwarded to me by a friend who asked me to share it with my children, as they are of marriagable age. So, prior to sending any messages to them, I prefer to first hear it. and that is when the message spoke volumes to me. It was as though the Lord laid it on the pastor's heart to spek this message ONLY FOR ME. Just like in your message, this message clearly demarked between authority and control. You see pastor, all through these years (30 years) I could never understand what the actual problem was. I only knew I was miserable on the inside, crying on the inside, but living a very normal (happy life) on the outside. With a husbank who was so differnet with me and so very different when with other people around him. This message actually opened my eyes to my reality and helped me understand what is going on in my life. There was an incident, where I was confronted by this controlling spirit. All these years, I have only been quiet, thinking that he just has an angry temper and I need to bear all things and persevere. This was my understanding. But it was killing me on the inside and I have all sorts of ailments- palpitation, migrane, sadness of heart with no joy on the inside, but everything around is happening- good job, nice house, nice car, nice children, church going, everything. So, as I mentioned, after I heard this message and when I was once confronted by this controlling spirit, I did not remain quite, but the Lord gave me the boldness to confront. I spoke clearly and said, that as long as they place me in the grave, I will always respect the authority that the Lord has place over my life (my husband) but I will not for a moment, entertain this kind of control over my life. The conversations were not pleasant, but I was firm and stuck to only the points that I needed to speak. After this, I took a strong stand on tithing (which was never allowed). I told him that this month end, if we are not tithting, I will submit my resignation letter. And from that month end onward, he unwillingly but forcefully was led to set aside the tithe money from my salary. The first month, it was sent as per my direction (to Mangalore Hope City Church). But after that, he is insisting not to send to someone whom we do not know. But he is setting aside each month the tithe money into another account. I praise God that at least the setting aside is happening. What I am trying to convey is, you spoke about man being the head of every home. In our home he is the head and a very responsible head. He takes care of everything and ensures that money is not wasted. I respect him for that. But basic things for the Kingdom of God is not done (nor does he allow others to do it). Now I am voicing my desire for baptism (which has been pushed under the carpet these several years, though he knows my heart). Everything needs to be battled. To this day. But I know that the Lord is working faithfully. I only need prayer support for wisdom to deal and to tackle.

Pastor, a small doubt. During the sermon, you mentioned the example of a person who asked you for help. Then you mentioned that he introduced himself as an 'apostle '. You said the moment you heard that, you knew that apostles do not exist anymore. Please can you explain this in light of philippians 4: 11
