Thank you for this video! So many videos showing this cut don’t reflect a haircut that actually shortens the hair, just cuts that give a slight trim and layers. You explained and demonstrated the steps in ways that were very helpful to me. I look forward to hacking off my scraggly ends soon! By the way, I think the shorter length you ended up with is very flattering on you!

I also have high desnity, fine, low porosity hair.... in regards to not using leave in conditioner, I don't understand why we wouldn't want MORE moisture. Could you explain?
@Linas_lovelylocks6 күн бұрын
Thanks for the question! If your hair is feeling dry, then a leave in is fine. I tend to prefer using a cream, because they give extra benefits, like curl enhancement. And using both a cream and leave in conditioner on low porosity hair can pretty easily lead to moisture overload. Too much moisture on the hair can cause it to get frizzy and limp and not hold it's shape well. I do have another video where I go more in depth as to whether or not you should use a leave in conditioner if you're curious. I'll link it below. I'd go based on your own experience. I've just found from experience and from what I've heard others with similar hair say that a leave in conditioner, once you hair is healthy, isn't really necessary. I hope that helps! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2GQZp6la7-kg5Isi=A4kmGf399t5N994B

The color coding is so smart 😊 The thickening blue lotion gave you more volume than i expected. Overall I think the red one held up better. I usually find it interessting when you describe the ingredients and texture of the products. But I also think it makes a lot of sense that you cut it for this video. You still described everything so well, I can imagine how this product might work on my hair. I appreciate that a lot. :)

Thanks for talking about how wavy girls may like them and tighter hair girls may not. I think it’s important for people to realize that bc it works for someone on KZbin with beautiful hair doesn’t mean it will magically make your hair beautiful. Not all products work for everyone!

I usually fast forward through the styling routine. If you like to show it that’s fine because we have the option to FFD if we wish. Have you tried Living Proof volumizing spray. I usually struggle with flat roots and that stuff really gave me a lift and had minimal fluffing compared to these products. Your hair looks nice as always! And your pups are cute.

That's definitely fair. I appreciate your view. Easy enough to skim past parts we don't personally find interesting. I haven't tried any living proof products yet, but I'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

what happens to me it looks pretty good before I touch it even though it's slightly crunch y(I have a perm) Then I start messing with it so much I use a little oil too..I lose some of the definiton and I'll get a couple of wonky curls ,especially one on my right side, then I don't know how to make it blend in again!
@Linas_lovelylocks20 күн бұрын
Hmm that's interesting. I can't say I know a ton about perms and how they might impact the hair differently from natural texture. I'm also not sure of your entire routine so I'll spit ball some ideas and hopefully something will help. One thing you could try is going without an oil or decreasing the amount you use. For some people, oils can be too softening. It could also be either a lack of moisture, or on the other side, too much moisture. If you're hair feels dry when you're done, I'd recommend increasing the moisturizing products you use. If it doesn't feel dry, maybe try backing off on the moisture. Too much moisture can drag your texture out and make it droopy. If you haven't yet, I also recommend trying a chelating shampoo. It's possible that buildup on your hair is causing the issue. Other thoughts would be varying the amount of product you use. On the one side, it might be too much product weighing your hair down. It could also be that you aren't using enough hold product to help it maintain it's shape. My last thought is that you might need a trim. If it's been a while since you've had a trim, try that. Hopefully this helps!
@loribecchi881920 күн бұрын
@@Linas_lovelylocks thanks for all the hints. I am due for a trim in a couple of weeks. I think maybe my hair isn't wet enough when i use products and I maybe don't use enough. I do use a clarifying shampoo once every couple of weeks.My hair is high porosity because it's dyed too,but I used to use a blow dryer more when it was straight,a curling brush and I even crimped the roots because my hair was very flat if I didn't.Thus the reason for the perm. So my hair should actually be healthier now without all that heat. I just diffuse on low or cool heat for a little bit now.The process I do now doesn't take as long as when my hair was straight which is good.
@Linas_lovelylocks18 күн бұрын
I'm glad you're new process doesn't take as long as before. It makes a difference having a little more time in each day. I'm sorry I'm not very familiar with perms. It may also be that your hair is improving in health, but just needs a little more time before its healthy enough to hold it's shape. Hopefully the trim will help.

You are wasting your money!!! I won't buy ANYTHING that a Kardashian is advertising!! 🤮 From 🇿🇦🇿🇦
@TryMyMartiniКүн бұрын
That's silly. A product doesn't become good or bad depending on who advertises it 😂 If you decide NOT to use a product just because the Kardashians advertised it, you are being influenced, the same way you are being influenced if you decide you WANT to use a product just because they did. Choosing the product that is right for you has nothing to do with who advertises it. Make up your own mind, and stop worrying about who is hired to advertise.

Ur hair looks great. U might wanna try the L’Oreal Everpure clarifying shampoo. It’s low cost and I wash my hair daily and it is a pretty good daily shampoo. Doesn’t leave me stripped. If I need super clarifying I’ll use something else maybe monthly but for daily use this is good!

I like ReCoil, but have to be careful not to use too much. I recently got the Curl Fresh Definer and am still playing around with what to best pair it with. I'd like to see your thoughts. The Liquid Effects gives me slightly more cast than the Mousse Gel, but not much.
@Linas_lovelylocksАй бұрын
Agreed. It's definitely easy to overdue the Re:Coil. Now that you mention it, I don't think I commented on it, but this routine did give me a very slight cast. But the mousse on its own, I don't think it did.

Your hair looks fabulous!!! I have a question about your diffuser. I have the same one that I use with the silicone band that holds it on my dryer. The diffuser keeps falling off. I think the heat softens the silicone sleeve. Does that happen to you? If not, what kind of dryer do you have? That Orchid diffuser is heavy.
@Linas_lovelylocksАй бұрын
Oh thank you! Great question! The orchid diffuser actually used to fit my dryer...but I dropped it one too many times and it broke enough that I had to use the Snozzle. I have been having issues with the diffuser coming off. I think part of it is the diffuser doesn't have a whole lot of a lip for the rubber to grab onto. But also, you may be right. Maybe the heat softens it, so it doesn't work as well. I had actually tried to rebuy the same diffuser and the one that came had a much smaller attachment , so I had to return it. I've been contemplating using a small amount of duct tape to keep it on 😂 either that or buying a different one.
@simplycurlydeАй бұрын
I have the same issue! I was thinking of wrapping it with a zip tie. Just wish the neck of the diffuser was a little longer.
