As someone who is constantly debating whether to get the foil or non-foil versions of lairs, what would you recommend? I usually tend to get the non-foil versions as I am always scared of the WOTC foil bend that always happens with the foils but I'm wondering where you stand on this, as far as secret lairs are concerned. Thanks!

Definitely picking up City Styles 2. City Styles is the one Secret Lair I regret not getting. I'll be passing on the other. Love the art, but wouldn't play any of the cards.

is the foil secret lairs usually more expensive than the non-foil secret lairs? I am wondering which one to get for this.

If you want to play with them, just run the regular version of the card in your deck like a helper card and when they come onto the battlefield use the secret lair card in a clear sleeve.

So many cool looking lairs that don't have any cards I actually want.

How many times can WotC make you say "the final secret lair for the winter superdrop" because they have got to be messig with you at this point

Beware of Aetherdrift foils (including First Place and showcases) they are curled BAD right out of the box. I've opened a handful of packs already and believe, they're rough

Reprint of Shorikai could have been fun in this one- but vehicles just don’t have much value.

They're only good if you play tribal decks (yes, I said tribal).

Jesper Ejsing being in regular frame could cost it another point. I really think they need to stop overdoing the same cards, namely llanowar elves, solemn simulacrum, which are getting lost in the reprint abyss. Meanwhile there’s a thousand highly playable cards that would love a nice secret lair.

Love his art but at the rate they are reprinting Deflecting Swat I would consider it no more than a $20 card... so this lair is, overall, a fail in terms of value.

Countdown kit Sun Titan is still my favorite. The foil is stunning. Hard pass on both of these, only really craving is that Bear Umbra, it's hilarious

Sometimes you buy a Secret Lair for the art, not the value.
