ok so its 2023 and im hyperfixated on this musical don't laugh at me, but i noticed something really sad watching this. so when he says the first set of amis he names (combeferre, lesgles, prouvaire) it's guilty, regret. like he thinks it's his own fault, like he couldve done something, or that he should have died in their place-- the survivour's guilt. then, he finds grantaire's bottle, and says his name somewhat confused, like a question, maybe that can be interpreted as marius asking "what did *he* do to deserve this fate" as R was the pessimistic doubter of the group. he didn't care about the revolution, yet he died. then, when he cries out enjolras' name it can be seen as both desperation and anger. with the desperation interp, in the MUSICAL, marius and enj seem to be really close, which i'm not gonna say if i like or dislike, but in the musical they're good friends. and marius seems to be completely *crushed* by his death. like he doesn't know what to do now. as if enjolras and his revolution were some of the few things keeping him going--like there's nothing left. but the interpretation i prefer here is that he's angry. at the army? no, at enjolras. you need to remember ENJOLRAS WAS ONLY 22 when he first met marius, and was 26 when he died. in spite of how knowledgeable about politics he was, he was still practically a kid. he was reckless, he was an idealist who didn't realise the barricade plan was bound to fail. and his recklessness got him and the rest of les amis killed. he was a charming young man capable of being terrible, remember. oh, and when marius screams his name here, it's after the "don't ask me/what your sacrifice was for..." line, i'm not sure what that is in german, but i'm gonna say it's probably similar. he's crying out the name of the man who practically got everyone killed, and saying everything he [enjolras] and the others did was all in vain. wow,, thats fucked. he calms down a bit when he says joly and feuilly's names. but it's got the same regret as combeferre, lesgles, and prouvaire's had. he still thinks it's his own fault in a way. and, if you've read the brick, you know his REAL bff out of all the amis was courfeyrac, and holy shit. when marius says his name, he sounds literally broken. in the brick, he and courfeyrac are really really close. they live together for a while, even sharing a bed, and before that, courf introduces him to les amis. he and courfeyrac were some of the closest out of les amis, and in this video he looks and sounds literally shattered. if i didn't know better i'd swear he was crying. it's a mix of the guilt and desperation here, and it shows how much courf meant to marius, and by extent how much they ALL meant to marius. sorry for ranting this is just the best empty chairs performance i've ever seen. kudos to this guy! i hadn't heard of him till now and i will def be looking him up.

One of the most iconic images in both the film and the stage productions is the moment when Frank-N-Furter throws that cape off for the big reveal, immediately followed by Brad and Janet's faces reacting. If Frank enters with the cloak open or even without one at all, it loses that antici.... ....pation (sorry, I couldn't help myself) when everybody collectively screams at the reveal. It's a moment of high drama. Worse yet (and I'm not necessarily referring to this production) is the mistake of dressing the Phantoms too much like Frank or a bit too bondage-inspired. If Brad and Janet have already seen two young men in g-strings and heels doing the Time Warp, it kills the entire entrance of the show's star.

When he sings “my mind is in darkness now” I absolutely love how he sings it, he doesn’t speak it, he sings and makes it like a chant kind of, it sounds like he was driven to madness over what he’s done. I love his voice so much ❤️ He is a fantastic Judas probably one of my favorites. Also when he sings “when he’s cold and dead” I love how he takes a pause before “dead” you can hear such regret in his voice it’s amazing

Lisa's one of the best "Christine Scream Queens"!!!! The "Christine Scream Queen" is an acting choice when a Christine lets out a horrific "scared shit for her life" scream during BOTH unmaskings and when "The Phantom" places the rope on Raoul's neck.

Ah he does the extra "I love you!" During their singing like how Michael Crawford did, I havent seen that so far in any other phantom. Definitely the best version of this song since Michael. Wish I would have gotten the chance to see him
