I didn’t realize tank rounds were caseless. Interesting.

How Americans can train with live ammunition is mental. In Britain you shoot live when you’ve done all the training and shit before hand so nothing bad can happen with lack of experience

I will just say in my day 1984-1987, my loaders were inserting the next round just as the chamber was vacated. It was 105mm rounds though. 1-33Armor top shooting battalion in Europe 1985 and 1986.

How is that ammo door operated? Is it manual from a button or opens and closes automatically when breech opens/closes?
@ETheAngryHelldiver2 ай бұрын
There's a knee switch just under the door. You bump it with your knee and it opens the door

He's learning, so this isn't a fail. This isn't at an actual unit, this is his AIT. He doesn't have a unit patch on his left shoulder. Bet he loads them rounds like a champ now. I think this video is just meant to be click bait lol

The first time I loaded the tank the guy didn’t tell me to use my first. So I pushed it in with my fingers and the damn thing nearly ate my fingers if I didn’t move my hand back fast enough. It’s like feeding a horse. It bites.

I see incompetence. I was a 45Kilo. Armament repairer. I served at Fort Hood and was trained at APG in MD. And these piss poor excuses for combat troops are ate up like a soup sandwich. Our enemies are Thrilled that America would send such incompetent slackers. I spent 3 plus years as the Jedi when it came to repairing the M1A1 and M1A2 Abrahams main battle tank. I went to Training on the M1A2 just prior to re-enlisting to be a biomedical engineer. Watching piss poor aptitude during a gunnery just reinforces how weak our military has become. A bunch of woke punks now serve.

Such nice comments in here. Me personally, am weak as hell. That pivot motion sucks and the tank motion as well? Oh boy, tough stuff. But why not have the ammo stored in a way where all he needs to do is ram it in instead of a flip?
