Clemishire, 54, told CNN affiliate WFAA Morris molested her in 1982 when she was 12 years old. It started on Christmas Day and it continued until she told her parents in 1987, she said. Shortly after the allegations surfaced, Morris admitted to having “inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady” in the 1980s. In its initial response, Gateway Church said the pastor had been “open and forthright about a moral failure” that took place when he was in his 20s and working at another church, and had a two-year “restoration process,” according to statements obtained by WFAA. It wasn’t until days later that Morris resigned from his role. In a statement announcing the resignation, the Board of Elders of Gateway Church said the group did not have all the facts about Morris’ extramarital relationship, the victim’s age and length of the abuse.

What a FRAUD! Let me tell you some FACTS: He had a lengthy history of trying to bang the women that surrounded him. One time after a sermon/message, I walked-up to him and began asking him questions about some things that he had just said... AND HE WOULD NOT LOOK ME IN THE EYES AS WE SPOKE. He is an insincere phony of the highest order. A real douche... Hybels is a scumbag; a money-grubbing scumbag. I lived in Barrington and attended this church until 1992. What a strange experience that was. In one message in about 1990, Bill told the audience how he always traveled with an entourage so as to have witnesses for his good behavior... At the time, I thought: "Well, if one is not guilty of anything, why worry about needing a witness to cover one's actions...?" He said many things in that time period that needed clarification, at least for me. The guy is slippery... the epitome of greasiness and deception. On the few Wednesday night meetings that I attended, they were always hitting-us-up for cash. One night in particular, (I think it was the day before Thanksgiving of 90), they rolled-down the shades and showed a quickly-paced slide show of sports cars, Rolex watches, Jewelry, nice homes, yachts, airplanes, et al. Then... Bill Hybels actually had the audacity to request that any of us that owned such things should sell them as soon as possible and give the money to Willow Creek. I turned to the stranger sitting to my left and I said: "This guy is a God-Damned Communist." That night or one around that time, Lynne Hybels went up to the podium and hit us all up for another $14 Million for an addition that they were doing on the church campus. So... I sent him a letter and said that I felt that request was a bit greedy. He sent me back a note saying that I just needed to consult with a "good Christian Psychologist" in order to get my thinking straight, and that he just happened to have one on staff... The whole place was rife with insidious corruption, avarice and excess. These were real con artists; the best of the best. What a bunch of God-Damned Crooks, Liars and Thieves! I paid more taxes for my home in North Barrington than this "Church" payed for their square mile of buildings, Hyper-Religiosity, corruption and tens of millions in real estate. All the while, Hybels and his wife lived in a mansion on five acres in Barrington Hills, or Inverness, at church-goers' expense. At the time, if anyone questioned his excesses and/or lavish lifestyle, he would always say that he came from a wealthy family and that it was "Family Money." What a bunch of liars and thieves! They all need to be in hand-cuffs and chains. True criminals of the most lurid sort. Al Capone incarnate.
