I like to spin pilchard, the grunter will chase it and grab it. But ja they have a whatsapp groepie where they tell each other there's fishermen if they see you.

Great vidz man. Out of interest, 1. which fish do you guys choose to keep and put back? 2. Do you guys use Scarborough reels as well? I've not used coffee grinders for rock, and surf I use Penn.

Good footage on catches - well done . A little light on releases. This channel would be improved if this was incorporated-possibly with some tagging as well as your quarry appear to be slow growing reef species.

Very interesting is how a grunter feeds A grunter stands vertical over a prawn hole , In the shallows pending lighting conditions , One can see part of the grunter , and sometimes even half of the grunter out of the water with its tails and body glistening and sparkling like diamonds reflecting in the early morning rays of the sun's shine as it begins the earth's glorious awakening along the river banks ... The grnter vertical with tail flapping and body movement is called tailing by some , Blowing for prawns by others . The grunter in spectacular GODLY FASHION BLOWS WATER INTO A PRAWN HOLE and then circles the muddy malaise snapping up it's meal . Thus one sees or hears or hears and then looks and sees " THE SPLASHING OF THE GRUNTER ! " I HAVE BEEN BLESSED TO SEE HUNDREDS PERHAPS THOUSANDS OF TAILS / SPLASHING GRUNTER ALL AT ONES IN A GODLY DISPLAY ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS ON THE CENTER RIVER BANK AT SWARTKOPS RIVER IN PORT ELIZABETH EARLY MORNING I was not there to fish But rather to enjoy the HODLY SUNRISE Watch GRUNTER SPLASH And Large Grey Heron hunt And Turns turn in the sky and drop into the water for their catch And kingfisher dive likewise and splash And an array of aquatic life JAH CREATION ... THANK YOU FOR THE VID MATE ... JAH BLESS ONE AND ALL ... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Some use 4 to 4.5 pound mono , For a competition fight . But 8 pound mono is a fight for sure . 12 pound or 15 pound is almost no fight . The rods are optional . A lead is also optional , But if the mono or line is thicker than 8 pound then use a 8 pound lead . No need to hunt a grunter like a buck ever , That's a fallacy , But likewise take Miagi wisdom 😂 do what Miagi told Daniel-son , Stand a bow not bow ' " bow " ... AND NO SCARE FISH ! ' Grunter on a drift no sinker , just a swivel , Or light running sinker , Or fixed sinker - size pending conditions . Grunted can be caught on a 1-0 2-0 Or 3-0 As for easy to catch That depends . Sometimes you will see a thousand tails , but not one will bite . Catch and release Catch and release into the pan or on the braai grid or in foil on the grid or coals . But never take a undersized fish And always only take what you are permitted ( Or can eat as is permitted ) NATURE IS ALMIGHTY GOD IN MOTION ALWAYS RESPECT GOD'S NATURE ALWAYS RESPECT AND SHOW REVERENCE TO GOD FOR WHAT HE PROVIDES I AM A god CHRIST IS THE LORD JAH BLESS ... 🙏👍🏻👏🏻🔥🚶‍♂️
