I'm mostly commenting the pattern below for my own sake so I don't have to watch the video multiple times. I'm making several of these for my friends cats for Christmas! This turned out to be a really great scrap yarn buster. Thank you so much! I 100% recommend watching the video for at least the bone section, I was struggling to visualize it without seeing it! My abbreviations are slightly different than the video, but like I said, it's for my own benefit :D In body color: mr 6 (chain 1 & slip stitch method) (6) 1. 1sc, inc * 3 (9) 2. 2sc, inc * 3 (12) 3. 3sc, inc * 3 (15) 4. 15sc (15) 5. 15sc (15) 6. dec, 6sc, dec, 5sc (13) FO in bone color: 1. Follow curves after chaining the ribs. ch 17, skip 1, slst x6 back up the bone, ch 4, skip 1, slst x3 (rib1 complete), slst x3 along spine, ch 5 ,skip 1, slst x4 (rib2 complete), slst x3 along spine, ch 4 skip 1 slst x3 (rib3 complete), slst x4 up spine (spine side 1 complete. Ch 1, turn. 2. (repeat above but reversed) On second side of spine, slst x4, ch 4, skip 1, slst x3 (rib4 complete), slst x3 along spine, ch 5, skip 1, slst. x4 (rib 5 complete), slst x3 along spine, ch 4, skip 1, slst. x3 (rib 6 complete), slst x6 to get back to top (bone complete, FO) Sew together as per video (I used catnip as a stuffing!) Tail (in body color): Find very end stitch of bone, all in one stitch: slip stitch to fasten new color to yarn, Ch 3, tc, dc, hdc, slst, hdc, dc, tdc, ch 3. This creates a small fin. I increased it in size by instead going: ch 5, dtc, tc, dc, hdc, slst, hdc, dc, tc, dtc, ch 5. It gets tricky to fit it all in one stitch trying to do it this way, but I was using a very fine soft yarn, so it worked out. I wouldn't recommend it for anything stiff. :) Thank you again N.S.
