I don't understand why everyone hates Arnold it wasn't all his fault the person who deserves the most hate is latrell it was absolutely horrible play calling and massive injuries and they never really put Arnold in a good position
@-sensibleChris2 күн бұрын
I don't hate the guy. He needed a fresh start and we didn't bring him along like we should have. Most QBs are not ready as Freshman and he had some growing pains behind a bad Oline and some receiver injuries, and bad coaching. Now, he did make plenty of young QB mistakes himself, but that's to be expected.

BS. He was inaccurate and often panicked. A 3 🌟 in the body of a 5 🌟

Tell me you didn’t watch any OU games with Arnold without telling me. Sure the play calling was bad but his inability not to turn over the ball was definitely the problem
@charlestarver2744Күн бұрын
@CaughtLine-sl2oz watched every single game and was at all the home games and the Texas game true he had a problem with turnovers in the beginning of the season but that wasn't an issue when we had slightly better play calling towards the end and who did he have that he could actually trust to catch the ball

He is to apprehensive and in a league like the SEC it’s not the greatest of attributes. When he feels pressure his head goes down and gives up on to many occasions

If Hawkins can pass just average, that will strengthen his running game.

Hawkins has enough talent to be a successful college QB. He's a big benefit to OU's program. He might not be the starter next fall but I expect he'll see the field probably more than he did this past season.

When Tennessee faced OU this year, coach Heupel, mentioned that Joe John Finley been part of his staff at Tennessee and elevated to the OU Offensive Coordinator position bring nothing on the creative side of playing calling that Heupel already knows when facing OU in their coming matchup.

Exactly. The q b oline and coordinator make the wide receiver in almost all instances. The wide receiver is almost the least important in a good passing game. Mainly the quarterback, an offensive coordinator making the right plays and the offensive line, allowing the quarterback to make the right play

My guy Baker Mayfield was a 3 star back in the day. Mateer is the #1 transfer in the nation and was a 3 star. 3 star only means projected talent out of high school. We are humans and people are wrong a lot. . . Tom Brady was also a 3 star recruit out of high school. Sooo there's that as well.

@@AF-jz3qp Alright, cool. You got beef with JJF. Has nothing to do with this player who is more of a Sooner than you, unless you wore the uniform? @AF-jz3qp3 күн бұрын
@ why did you start with the righteous crap? Unless you played a down for Sooner ball, you shouldn’t say anything if you take your own advice. I’m not naive that we are getting lower ranked talent than what we got.
@HeadlessAce3 күн бұрын
@@AF-jz3qp “Righteous crap”… That tells me plenty about you. All you need to know about me is, A.) I’m not doing what you’re doing, so there’s no comparison. B.) I’ve worn multiple uniforms, including pads and a helmet, and including THE ultimate uniform. So, therefore, I’m all for your freedom of speech, but if you’re indeed a Sooner fan…you’re wrong! If you choose to criticize JJF as a coach, go to town. I may even join you. Matter of fact, I haven’t been too impressed with Sharp or Mitchell, but I can criticize them respectfully because they’re Sooners to some degree or another. When fans are cannibalizing their players it hurts the program. When fans are rushing the field for a win over a 7th-ranked team and costing the university 200k, it hurts the program. I tend to call these things out so we as a collection of Sooner fans can be wise in what we do. This recruit you’re casting out like a leper hasn’t even played a down for OU yet. So I have to ask…Why the certainty he’s not an asset to the team?
