This is a documentary from 2004. I’m just letting you know to get a bit more perspective of that time. Although to be fair, not much has changed. Edit: Someone made a more in-depth comment a few years prior to mine that I didn’t see. In general, the reality is if you’re planning to move to Los Angeles, be prepared that the odds are not in your favor. Feel free to go for it, but *please* plan for the worst just in case.

I love how these British dudes make these documentaries about American life especially American culture that they can't possibly understand or fathom😂 but then he shows himself walking around the beach thinking trying to look like he's deep😂😂😂😂 bro you're making money off of other people's misery. You're not deep you're not intellectual you don't even have an original thought. You're simply making content.

This is straight up just a rip-off of Cocaine cowboys😂😂 and then dude said that half the people that get arrested in Miami have Trace amounts of cocaine in their system..... Problem is they don't drug test you when you get arrested😂😂😂😂😂😂 why don't you try coming up with an original documentary of your own with some original thoughts and ideas

I can relate - single mum, no child support, no family. The last thing I want is for my son to come into harm outside. I’d prefer he does bad choices at home. His rich friends, at private schools do the same. Only they do it out late at night - their parents have no idea where they are .

I currently work in the Vancouver film industry, on the crew side and for us work is much more steady, and we're all unionized largely. For actors in Vancouver, or Canada in general to make it in Los Angeles, it is extremely difficult since the odds are already stacked against Canadians since they are foreign workers in LA and can't work without a work visa, which is extremely difficult to get to begin with. Many try to make it in Vancouver or Toronto instead without realizing that up here, NONE of the lead roles are cast in Vancouver, just the scraps that LA casting directors don't want to waste their time with so it really is the best chance. In LA, you can go from Zero to star, in Vancouver or Toronto, you can go from Zero to Zero + 1 line, once a year. But it s a tough TOUGH world.

This video is the first time I ever saw the doctor have an ex patient come in and talk to a new patient I feel like he should have been doing this with all his patients if they are available and willing to come in and talk to new patients. I think them seeing someone who was 500-1000 pounds But now a good healthy weigh. That can really help motivate people when they see it works and have proof. Especially if they are giving them tips on how to deal with their urges and examples of good tasting foods they can still eat when on their diets as well as other things It's almost like having a sounder for an alcoholic. Someone you can call when your feeling weak and u might give in to your addiction or u just need to talk to someone to keep you busy and give you words of wncouragement

If any of his enablers were crying they need to just stop with the alligator tears because u don't get to cry after helping him to eat like that for years as the enablers for a bed ridden person need to take most of the blame. Yes they can yell and cuss at you but not like they can jump up and physically assault u So the enablers should have been saying no to junk food, unhealthy carbs or carbs at all, big portions and sugary drinks like pop and kool aid and energy drinks and sweet tea. Thing is when you eat a lot of protein and not carbs u actually feel fuller faster and longer then eating carbs and sugars. Abd giving up the junk food and huge portions is 90% mental Whenever u wanna eat especially to snack. Find something to do to occupy your mind U wanna eat. Read a book. You wanna eat. Work out you wanna eat watch a movie. U wanna eat. Clean a room in your house if u can or even play a video game. Yes working out should be the go to. But playing video game is way better then just sitting there scarfing down junk food. I have helped around 14 people lose over 250-450 pounds the heaviest guy was 723 We got him down to 195 which was a total weight loss of 528 we did this I. Just under 8 months To this day almost all of them say keeping their mind and body busy helped the most. Second thing was when they lost weight and heard encouragement everyone loves an Addams boy .

Brando and Garland, and others, should be ashamed of themselves for willingly appear in these roles. I was a little displeased they talked about internment camps. An important topic, but strictly speaking outside of the topic of Hollywood yellowface whitewashing.

Growing up in LA with a step-father who was below-the-line type (who have their own struggle to make it, or even get regular shows), we had many of these sorts as guests in my childhood home. Of the many we spent time with, only a handful ever did anything one might have heard of. The rest require a deep dive on imbd, at best.

Except for maybe Malin Ackerman nobody really had that IT factor but honestly early 2000s so many indie films did well for these people to have roles in, but no one stood out that would be famous. Which is clear today obviously.
