thanks for the video. I have a motorcycle lift table that works on the air. I bought it new, I use it for home use. It’s about 30 years old, handy lift is the brand. It wouldn’t go up so I removed. The piston rod, and found that it is just a piston with an O-ring inside of a pipe that lifts up to 1000 pound motorcycle with air. As you show in this video, the piston has a single O-ring and it is fla in the area that contacts the piston cylinder I checked with the manufacturer and they only sell the whole piston/O-ring assembly as one piece you cannot buy just the O-ring. It costs over $120 for the piston with the new O-ring on it. .. before I spent that money on the piston assembly, I tried using Greece inside the cylinder. It worked.---for a while… now that I’ve seen this video and learned that O-rings can be reconditioned by putting them in heated oil, that’s my next move I was considering soaking the O-ring in mineral spirits. I remember seeing how mineral spirits causes rubber to swell up when I would be cleaning parts with mineral spirits. when I say, they swell up from being in mineral spirits, I mean, they almost double in size. I remember how mineral spirits also will dissolve the handles on snap on brand screwdrivers partially. That is some pretty potent reaction.. I will try the method described in your video before I try the mineral spirits Thanks for the video

I have the same issue. The actuator seems to be jammed. I tried pulling on the rope, and pushing the mechaniam to the left, but it wouldn't budge. I think the actuator has seized up. Going to strip it all out next time i have a chance and see if i can free it up. Thanks for this video, great to see it all moving and conforming my theory!!!! 😁😁😁

It doesn't eject anyone from the passenger seat? Darn it. 😅 I gotta fix the lower longer door to the secret compartment. A tiny tab hook broke off. Im wondering if maybe I can attach it back on. Like, plastic welding, maybe.

A bit of a mission to open you need to open the opposite door pannel and see how to pull the door lock 🔐 with a piece of wire to open the lock , it is the connecting rod that came loose and fell out (let me know if you understand)

Great video, thank you. Do you need to re bleed the breaks after or just pump them on and good to go?
@RamgotterNucleus10 ай бұрын
So I'll give you my opinion right but this does not make it right I'll tell you the pros and cons : if you press back the brake pistons without opening anything (the loop or circuit is still closed ) meaning no air can get into the system so I myself just pump them till they are firm and you are good to go . Now !! pros: is you don't mess and it's less work and cleanup and some people don't bleed correct and thar can cause bubbles in the system . And it's cost effective right Cons: brake fluid is hydroscopic this means it pulls in water from and surface or substance so depending on when last you changed your fluid out ,it is good to do it every 2 years can v Be extended to 3 or every 72000km , remember aswell as you brake the fluid also gets extremely hot especially at the caliper so that fluid breaks down quite severely, another is when you bleed you can see if the colour is still good or atleast flush out the most degraded section of fluid. I'm going to do my X6 brakes soon and I'll chat about this aswell ,thanx for your comment it's an good one we'll observed and great question 👍🏼

Maybe it would of flowed better if you would’ve added a small section of pipe to that area . The large chamber probably is not letting the exhaust flow smoothly. But I’m not an exhaust system expert. Just a thought, nice info thanks a bunch.

@@RamgotterNucleus hay thanks for your reply. I found out now anyway. They have 2 anti-sqeal plates per caliiper. I was watching the video to hopefully see what order they go in. But I got a manual and it shows the one with the slots in goes against the pad and the solid plate goes over it and goes against the pistons on the caliper. I had a nasty squeal without them when breaking slowly. But has gone now I have put them back in the correct order. Thanks for the help anyway I still found the video helpfull. 😉
