I came across this after being given "The International Encyclopedia of Hard Rock & Heavy Metal" by a friend who was clearing out possesions from a previous homeowner who had passed away. It's from 1983 by the looks of it, and I actually read it all as it was interesting to see all these bands and read some of the descriptions. Anyway, was intrigued by these guys as they came from a town just down the road from me, albeit about five years before I was born! Interesting to hear them though and to see them mentioned in the book. I wonder if any of them are still playing?

Seem to remember seeing Overkill play in the sports hall at Testbourne School Whitchurch in 1982. Sean Kebby (?) On lead guitar. Didn't they also have a slot at Reading Rock Festival that year?

@@philipharvey8479 yes, we played at Reading. The gig at the sports hall was for live aid. Shaun Kebby was lead guitar, along with Mick Fowler,Marcus Nason was on base. It was good evening if my memory serves me correctly.

I went to Reading that year. I think you guys were on on the Friday with Tank, Mantis and Budgie. Great lineup. I think my sister went out with Marcus Nason for a while
