You don’t need to make sure the chain isn’t tangled before soldering the second side?

Thank you! I was an apprentice 45 years ago. Sadly Left the industry after 8 years to marry and have my family. I am getting back into manufacturing fine jewellery in my retirement. For the life of me I couldn’t remember the solder formula … New subscriber! Blessings to you and your family

Very nice, I love my smiths little torch. I use oxy-propane but I think oxy- acetylene would give a bit more heat.👍🏴

Great skills. I started the same time you did but still find your tips very helpful. No question you're fast, but it will help your listeners if you slow down your explanations and use full sentences. Some of your adjustments are so slight that we miss them. So when you say, "See what I did there?" We're saying, "Nope. Explain please."

I have to agree. I tried to watch the mid part of the flame but could see no difference whatsoever. My question is why do you have to adjust the flame as opposed to just moving the torch to control the heat applied??

Hello Sir. What is the actual solder grain composition? Its difficult to find the same brands everywhere Then how comes your formula together? When do i need 14k, 18k etc... do I want to have it in the same karat as my workpiece? How do you do easy flowing and hard flowing? I use to do my silver solder with brass and silver which works very good.

To protect the gemstones during resizing and soldering you prefer thermo shield or kool jool or water 💦 and kleneex? TIA Keep up the great work
