Barry...A very interesting video and so unique. It is good as you do interviews so well and you can be funny as well. You really are charming and I think that every night when I spend 3+ hours watching your videos and singing and dancing with you. Love you so much since 1974. Basically. I am right at your age...............Betsy Blue-eyes

Not requesting or anything but I can only imagine what the entire 1st ever episode of Deal looks like from the original airing rather than seeing the one that Challenge TV repeated on.

Around this time, BBC2 had the stupidity of stealing BBC1’s closedown tradition of news coverage instead of playing Ceefax pages and BBC Learning Zone kids programs overnight during the off-air hours as usual.

Flotsam and Jetsam (AKA Jessie) are quite decent puppet presenters in this era of Birthday People, probably a little better compared to human presenters reading out birthday cards with bunch of hooters from the crew since it showed off other characters and plots but however they're still not as iconic compared to the legendary Gus Honeybun for sure! I quite knew that someone has just said about one edition from this era (which would be their first taped appearance) was pulled off air because people thought that their behaviour just feels off just by toning their behaviour down quite a bit.

0:09 - 0:49 With Challenge's main focus being classic gameshows It's weird to see them experiment with programmes outside of their routine. Player as a whole I believe was experimental, American reality programmes like the 25 Million Dollar Hoax, but also centralised poker programming, US TV dramas. I believe they even broadcast Martin Scorsese's 'Casino'! They would never do this now! It's also worth noting it was reported as a "ratings winner" for Challenge. Try telling me that after they launched a Player channel under the Entertainment section on Sky and then relaunched it under "Bravo 2" just 6 months later!
