This song has always had a welcoming sense of finality to me. I find myself leaning on it whenever I'm going through a loss. This song helped me navigate a hard breakup and helped me rediscover myself. At that time, I would always go for drives at sunset and listen to this song just to be with my thoughts. I think part of it was also acknowledging the peace that comes with change, even though it's hard. Every change has positive and negatives. You let go of all of the bad parts of something, while also letting go of the good. But something new comes with its own set of bad and good things. But there's always more good, no matter how big or small. I think this song, plus driving, whether literally or virtually here, reminds me that I CAN keep going and that wherever I end up, I'll be okay. I think it helps me to embrace the end of something and embrace the beginning of something new. And here I am, again. Now finishing my Master's and internship in Marriage and Family Therapy. At the end of this month, I'll have to part ways with clients and colleagues alike. These people have helped me to blossom into the therapist that I am now. This journey wasn't without hardships and I'm happy to leave those hardships behind. But that comes with having to leave those I've come to love. But I can keep going. And wherever I end up from here, I'll be okay.
